Nigeria is in the hands of God.

Perhaps, a change in leadership might help us get out of this mess.

In the midst of poverty, hardship and joblessness etc, yet you want your citizens to be law and abiding . How can that be possible ?

They had better start building more correctional centers

So basically, the suggestion for CBN is

The central bank should aim for greater flexibility by reestablishing a dollar interbank market, effectively allowing banks to trade currency on their own behalf to increase liquidity and move toward a single rate, the bank said.

In other words...the CBN should , in essence , end the official rate, and allow banks and everyone get dollars on their own terms.

The downside, IMhO, is possibly the value of the naira would fall vs the dollar.

They, in essence, want us to float the naira freely.

Primitive thieves are in charge of Nigeria, it doesn't matter the rubbish they say, all a smart person needs to do is look at the numbers to see the plundering of Nigeria's wealth going on.

Policy decisions related to exchange rate, trade and monetary and fiscal factors are driving inflation, especially during 2021, more so than exogenous factors related to conflict and weather shocks,” said Marco Hernandez, the World Bank’s chief economist for the country.

The lack of a credible monetary anchor is keeping inflation elevated, with the central bank trying to achieve too many goals, such as controlling price increases, promoting economic growth and keeping a stable exchange rate, according to the report.

God please save my motherland, but not all of this records should be believed, some persons are being paid to tarnish a sitting government regime, so as to make the citizens feel their government ain't doing anything for them. What if this is just one of the cases, where an agency is been paid to rubbish a nation and make them look worthless.

Over population is not a resources. Population is out pacing the rate of economic growth in Nigeria and other African states. Yet, people will continue to give birth like rabbit hoping on an imaginary god to bring success to their kids in future

Population has to be properly managed to ensure modest economic growth. Un checked population is creating an army of idle and unskilled citizens, who would constitute nuisance to the growth and prosperity of the country.

I was passing through Badore, Ajah yesterday and saw many kids loitering around. These kids belongs to those mostly Northern women begin for alms. What does future holds for those kids as they are out of school?

Beans used to be one of the cheapest grain per rubber, I remember when it was sold for 350 and later 450 per custard rubber.... Even then we said it was expensive. Now it goes for 1300.if Nigerians were real people, we would have shut down this country.

Still they want to remove subsidy and increase electricity tariffs, how insensitive can these apc guys be?

What part is unbelievable there? inflation, poverty, rising criminality, meager incomes, wrong policies, which one? No one is tarnishing Nigeria more than Nigeria itself especially the government.

Because we have economists that can play figures to the gallery. Numbers that don't reflect the common man's reality can only get us that far.

There is nothing particularly wrong with having a large population.

After all, countries with small populations, like Canada are taking in immigrants simply because their native population is not growing enough to replace ageing and retiring workers.

Nigeria has many problems, but population is not one of them. Or you want us to be like China and Japan, that are running out of young workers to work to raise revenues to pay the pensions of the fast growing elderly population?...which means in future if nothing is done, they may face serious economic problems (Japan has issues filling jobs, China has ended its one child policy)

Nigeria's problem is that it is a resource dependent country, whose resource is not at a price that can earn enough revenue for all of us.
