Let's not just talk about Pogba and his performance for France, let's talk about the players they have up front. As a midfielder, if you trust your strikers, you'll not hesitate to find them when you have the ball. Imagine Pogba seeing Cavani making a run with too defenders close to him, he'll definitely think twice about the pass because Cavani doesn't have the legs...If it's Rashford, he'd be certain he won't make anything out of the pass...

Pogba trust Mbappe and that's why he never hesitates to find him...

As others have posted another area we need to strengthen is the midfield (defensive midfield), Kante did the job of Mcfred whilst Rabiot provide support when needed whilst helping to carry the ball forward...Ole should fix our midfield if he is serious...
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 7:05am On Jun 16, 2021
I think one player we need to start talking about is Bruno, away from the goals and assist, he needs to influence the play more...

Watching Portugal yesterday, he kept on leaving his attacking midfield role to go in search of a goal leaving Pereira and Carvalho in midfield, two players who are more renowned for their defensive contribution thus Portugal found it hard to breakdown Hungary but as soon as he stepped back in that AM space, he was able to unlock the defense of Hungary via a nice pass to Rafa Silva...As much as I acknowledge his goal contribution, I'd like to see him play more as an AMF because he has the eye for the pass...

No lies but if he leaves, we will need to sign at least 2 attackers as I don't think any of our youth attacker will be ready to step in next season.

Rashford, Cavani, Greenwood and Martial was not enough this season especially when Martial was injured so if he leaves, we need 2 more attackers...The likes of James and Mata should not be playing for us if we are serious about challenging the likes of City and Liverpool...
I'm surprised you said the bold oh shocked shocked

Martial was steadily dropping stinkers game after game even before his injury.

So when he got injured, there actually wasn't much difference tbh

Infact a lot of fans wondered what was the rationale behind benching Cavani for that lazy glove-wearing clown forming Berbatov.

If not for Martial's injury, I'm sure that stupid Ole for no look Cavani direction grin grin

It's a wonder that Martial and Pogba can rake in over 120 mil but the club never serious to sell.

Now, with that kinda amount we can get at least 3 serious players.

Chairman Martial at his worst is better than James or Mata ATM...We are talking about building a strong bench but you want the club to do away with some of our most talented players. If they were ready-made replacements, I wouldn't mind but there isn't and I don't trust the club to sign adequate replacement should we lose Martial.

Talking about transfer fees, Pogba has 1 year left on his contract so, no club will pay outrageous fees for him unless he extends and Martial coming off such disastrous season, you'd be lucky to see a team willing to offer 35m for his services...The way to go is to extend Pogba's contract so that even if he decides to leave in the near future we will make profit off his sale and keep Martial for another season in hope that rediscovers his form and then look to sell him still at a profit...Buying players for huge sums and selling them at a loss is not the way to go, certainly not now...

You are right though to an extent. If Martial goes i expect another forward apart from Sancho to come in.........but don't rule out a Greenwood like progression in Hannibal, allowing Pogba to play that left side on a more regular basis OR even allowing Hannibal himself to play that left sided when needed. Another player that might make a big step is Amad.

There is also the fact that all though Sancho has played most of his Dortmund career on the right he is as good if not better on the left. Also even if we add only Sancho to that attack we might get a rested Rashford and a rested and improved Greenwood, in addition to either Hannibal or Amad stepping up.

Central midfield was really where we suffered last season, and will continue to suffer if we don't make changes there.
Your points are good but I don't want any youngster feeling too much pressure to perform...

I see you've been talking about having a strong bench and all. While that's good, honestly don't see the need to keep unserious and unreliable players in the team tho.

As for Pogba, he's marketing himself at the Euros currently, so there's no need keeping him to wait for him to improve. I'm quite sure that after putting up good performances at the Euros, his next step would be to ask for huge wages during contract negotiations.

In Pogba, we have a potential Alexis Sanchez situation ooh

As long as he has one year left, Potential suitors will feel they shouldn't pay over the odds...I won't be surprised if the likes of Juventus are not already in his ears looking to strike a deal to sign him on a bosman...

Martial's case is his form this past season, no team will pay us close to what we got him for so, it is only logical that we keep him for another season in hope that he rediscovers his form and then we can get the big boys looking his way again...

It doesn’t work that way bro. Pogba have it in mind to leave but then again his emotion towards the club still holding him.
