I wonder why people build houses everywhere.

The one I don't seem to get is why will you build house in the Village... Village that you get to visit once in 2 years or once in a year... Had this conversation with my Dad.. He said it's good so you won't be looking for a place to stay when you get to visit home cheesy cheesy

I told him that's why hotels were constructed
What beats me is u use 50milllion build hse that is not marketable, bank no go even use the hse borrow u 5million

I agree with you, my father was over 70 years before he built a house in his village somewhere around Abeokuta. He did that after spending over 50 years in Lagos, building and investing in the city where his bread are being buttered.

I am going to do the same thing by God's grace.

But at the end of the day,it is different strokes for different folks.

Another guy who enjoyed his money but now filled with regrets

The grandfather of 419

I think part of Abidua's regrets was because he just realized that most of the properties didn't make economic sense, although they made emotional and cultural sense.

Now in his 60s he can't even maintain the over 40 houses again.

Imagine having a 30 room mansions all over the place, He acknowledged he did such at the time of ignorance

I've seen some people who are always cruising in exotic cars running into some serious debts.

But why will one acquire over 40 houses.

Gosh if I'm the son... I would have auctioned 39 out of those 40 and furnish the remaining one to a modern standard.

Gone are the days where people admire a Large house with multiple rooms.... Look at Orji Uzor Kalu for example.

Wow. Fred Ajudua. Did he really say that?

I thought the man was in prison for fraud? Or he's granting this interview from prison?

Or has he been released?

Not bad, you can have over 100 if they are self sustaining. You are helping to reduce the housing deficit in the country.

You are providing accommodation for about 200 families and over 600 Nigerians at a profit. You are earning passive income, in form of rent

But erecting it for personal use only doesn't sound well to me
