I want to change my surname tomorrow, although still planning to leave this country any time soon.

Just want to know if it may affect one during interview at the embassy.

Just only surname E.g (Benny Mike Ubuntu ) to (Jenny Mike Ubuntu )

For a man to change his surname, he must have a good reason for that because it's not common
If you change surname, what about t by the name on your passport, so which one will you bear at the embassy

Get your visa first and then travel out come back then plan on change of name

Thanks bro, the surname I want to use is already on my passport. Have been using the name for more than a year.

Since it's only the surname you changed, make a publication about it and am sworn affidavit on it

When applying for visa or anything like that, on that form, there's always a provision where they ask if you were known with a certain name... either former surname, first name nickname etc... so no big deal if u provide/ declare your former surname there.... as long as you did not use the former surname to commit a crime....no skin pain...
