What of the billions of naira MTN pays buying diesel every week due to lack of electricity? Any tax rebate for them? Talk is cheap. This man doesn't seem to know anything about running a company

Why you keep increasing fuel price.

Because the country is going into debt keeping fuel prices artificially low.

And before you start...this has nothing to do with politics, it is an ongoing problem we have had since the 1990's...we have been advised several times since the 1990's to completely remove subsidy....but every time, most Nigerians, you inclusive...said no.

And even with the recent increases...we pay the third lowest price for fuel in Africa, and the fifth lowest in the world.

The price of data in Nigeria is an arbitrailly determined thing...and it is even worse in some other African countries.

Here is a quote from a report on data pricing in DR Congo

The modelling of cost is done when you make calculations based on investments put in by a telecom company, the running cost and the number of subscribers," he says.

These calculations have been made for voice calls but no telecommunication company has done that for internet data, meaning the regulator cannot put a cap on prices.

"The lack of a clear ceiling gives companies freedom to fix whatever price they want," says Prof Kojdo.

Makes for interesting reading.

Na really wah for dis man o! Upon all the wahala wey dey country, na MTN data price be the problem? The protection and welfare of Nigerians has taken the back burner. Na cruise na 'e dey. So-called fight against corruption is a joke, since Buhari has found a way to ease out corruption.

Meanwhile, people are dying of hunger daily of hunger induced by fulani terrorists and bandits killing farmers and hindering flow of produce.
Insecurity everywhere. This man has failed woefully. Nigerians may just have to bear it till God intervenes.
