I have two friends like that, they look weird to me and I always wonder why they don't like football but I can't force them....I can sacrifice my food to watch a live match. I once abandoned my girlfriend at home because of Chelsea match. I can't miss my match because of sex, she has gotten used to it now. Whenever my team is playing she don't bother coming over.

I used to love football so crazy but when "Real life and Real responsibilities" hit me early this year.I have turned to supporter rather than the die hard Fan i used to be.My ex now subtly accuses me of using football back then as an excuse not knowing that WORK comes before HOBBIES

I think it has to do with peace of mind. You are worried about your financial life and future, making you live a lone life brainstorming on how to make it in life so you feel watching football is a waste of time and adds no financial value to your personal life.
