I will say apply for visiting for the youngest along with your own study permit and then prepare to provide a plan/explanation for taking care of the kid while you are studying - paid creche etc. - in your application.

Thanks alot for the advice. I will definitely consider this.

After the first refusal in 2019, we did our best to package the whole thing.

In the LOE and Letter of Sponsorship, I broke down my statement of account (sponsor) and also attached receipts of my business.
Turnover and balance on accounts were huge figures. Also in the LOE, we explained how the lump sump I sent to her would be used to effect payment of the remaining tuition and living cost. She also added her bank statement, letter of employment from a reputable company and ties to some social and NGOs in Nigeria.

I as the sponsor also listed and attached evidence of some of my Landed properties and assets; explained carefully how this payment will not in anyway affect me since I am single and have no kids.

Personal account of sponsor with balance in the eight figure range.
Business account of sponsor with balance in the nine figure range.

Even with the gift of deed of a lump sum, the Canadian commission still deemed it fit to reject the application with the generic reason;

" I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status"

Experts in the house, what options/ways can a young lady of 24 years old use to prove home times to Nigeria?

happachris:
I might be wrong but my suggestion is that you get your gsmc note to know the exact reason.

Let me also say something, I have gone on YouTube to learn what are the likely causes as related to this generic refusal reply that we both got >>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4r5csyW5MO8

Since she is working, let her print her own bank statements, explain in her LOE in details of how the money will cover her stay over there, get her gift of deeds with stamps from a lawyer on any lump sum of money or assets transferred to her..

Also your sponsor will need to submit his/her bank statements, affidavits of support, letter of employment and sponsorship, assets in their name. To validate if they still have some assets and finance for their own upkeep after transferring to her.

All should be formal or at least look formal.

This is what I think you should do and what I have done so far in anticipation of the gsmc note.

Just waiting for the note so as to address the main reason and fire on.

God bless your efforts.

Same as me, applied May 15th, biometrics 26th May too, no response till now
Soulz22:
I applied 15th of May and Biometric done 26th May. I’m just nervous if I can meet up fall session or it’s too late.

Anyone in same situation with me or have encouraging answers?

If you applied in May, have you gotten any response yet?

Does one still need COVID test despite getting vaccination
Hello MadeMan01,

Yes, you need to take the test before and after arrival. Do not forget that you're considered to be fully vaccinated to be eligible to skip the compulsory hotel accommodation if you got your 2nd dosage at least 2 weeks before arrival in Canada.

Have you ordered GCMS note? You can't get proper suggestions without it.

It's clearly stated on their site oh and it's still there incase anybody want to say "they did not say" lol

Thaiy:

Which one is '' they said biometrics, who is the they? '' when was this said and where?

Had my application submitted on 15th May, biometrics 18th, have an upfront medical this Saturday, 26th June.

What IRCC calls a complete application, is the biometrics and medicals, if all this can be done, medical passed it did be within the timeframe.

It will end in praise for us all.

If you have the time between your admission and resumption or you are not in hurry and dont mind deferment if it goes left? you can try with them and see what happens. Then next time apply alone.

Like it has been said including them is not easy but it is not impossible. You will have to show sufficient funds, and proof in detail how you plan to care for them during your studies and then a rock solid home ties but still it will all fall in the hands of the VO and God's grace.

I don't know how it works in Nigeria but I know of a Ghanaian colleague based in Europe who got PPR and found his passport was just about 7 months to expiration. He informed the embassy and they gave him 90-days or so (longer than the normal 30-days stated on the PPR - to submit the renewed passport. Although he is still working on getting the new passport, I suppose the application will be suspended until the passport is sent - within the extended timeline requested.

Echogrey:
Good evening people,

What happens when someone gets a new passport after PPR? Do you raise a webform informing them of the new passport so they recognize the passport details once you send to VFS?

Thanks!

Yes, please.

Ensure your vaccination barcode is intact because that is what they will scan to confirm at the airport in CA. Keep away from water.

You can also validate your vaccination with your vaccination number using this link below to avoid story that touch o.

All the best.

Ordee your Gcms notes. Having alot of money is not the problem. The vo needs to be convinced that the money is available and also she passed eligibility.

Since he has promised to sponsor you that means he trusts you, you never can tell where the opportunity will land you if used well, I won't discourage you about how difficult it is to convince the vo about your relationship with this your friend since it will be as hard as it is for a camel to pass through the hole of a needle, that being said my advice is this
Begin your admission process carry him along and let him be involved including him paying the application fees to the institution you're applying to, by himself.
Once you secure an admission. Explain to him the difficulty of how it is to convince the vo. Have him pay your first year tuition fees or possibly all if he's that rich and generous, also have him transfer some funds into your account . If u act well you can start building your account with him pending the time you will apply for study permit, also tidy your home ties and level of establishment in Nigeria, and leave the rest for God. It's better to try than do nothing

Hi Tolu!

How is school going? Have you travelled now? Did you get your gcms notes? Does it help to understand why there was a delay? Does the date they checked your file correspond with any ghost update? I’m just trying to understand how CIC works cause I haven’t seen any ghost update on my end and eligibility has not started too... thank you

My school already resumed. Started classes on May 25 and I plan on traveling this weekend.

Cheers.

Hello everyone, is there anyone that applied after May 13 and got NSE request. From my observation, they've not sent any NSE request after May 13. Or am I wrong?
Do you think it’s a good idea for us to submit the requirements via webform? Or should we just wait.
