That was how I got a 1.7 surge trip one sunday evening from agungi to ikotun.
Since I stay at Abesan, na so I sharperly accept. Ride was smooth until we got close to synagogue... see traffic for that roundabout. No lastma or police on sight. spent like 30 minutes there, everything was chaotic.
After the traffic then the obaranje abi na ogbanje road. That road long ehn... and very very bad. After dropping rider and crawling back to the beginning of that ogbanje road, I got another request from that same road on 1.5 surge going to lekki, I told rider if she can meet me at the junction of that road then I dey game, but she said no. Na so I face road to house.
Next day I begin hear some kind loud sound from the back. I spent 12k working on my suspension.

Abaranje Road is the worst road in lagos.

1.5km distance on that road can take you over 20mins to cover. The potholes nobi here.

Funny enough, I can't remember who added me to the group. But I know the person contacted me from here.

Though these groups are quite boring oh!
You might even remove yourself within a week.

If you spend 1hr without visiting the group, you'll come back and see 2000 unread messages and they can talk rubbish.
Quite informative sometimes though.
I think I did Sir, when you were seeking for it.
Actually they do talk rubbish in the group, some even post porn.

Oh really?
I never new.
I appreciate you brother. Cos I really needed it.

Though those groups will help you narrow riders' predicaments at the hands of drivers to certain set of drivers.
So many uncouth individuals in there.

I stand to be corrected but there's nothing like saka again

Anything that alters your GPS now disables the bolt app.

I experienced something new and different today... Full gist loading while I await bolt response.

Hint: Bolt doing automatic price review even without anyone asking. I suspect a reason though let me still wait for more clearance

Hello team,

I have been a keen follower of this thread (lowkey) for sometime now. Please I need your advise.

I’m interested in ehailing but the major challenge has been getting a car or the money to buy a car. I tried getting HP but couldn’t get something reasonable so I decided to save up the cash and buy a car instead.

Before now my savings amount goal was 1.5m for a foreign used Honda Civic 07/08; I use to see this on JIji sometime last year.

Now I am ready and have been able to save this amount but I can’t find a foreign used of this car for 1.5m anymore and already settling for naija used.

Please advise on other alternative to a foreign used Honda Civic 07/08 or what to look out for in getting a Nigerian used vehicle.

Thank you
The 07/08 honda civic is over 2m now, I think your best bet is the bullet proof dru23. That is the 04/05 civic. Cars are generally expensive now, even my peejo that used to around 1.2-1.5m is now 2m and over for a good one. Another option is to go for 6 -12 months used Naija used which I believe your budget should get you one. If you're going for the latter, my brother shine your eyes very well ooooo. Wish you well in your endeavours.

It's true there is burnout in this hussle. Like everyother thing enthusiasm decreases over time, but what separates individuals is desire, drive, passion and circumstances.
Different people entered d job for different reasons, people are made-up differently and at some point in time u will meet your equilibrium or exit the biz (for whatever reason). This is a fact.
It is also a fact that there are people who have been consecutively and consistently hitting the top bar for years while another person's equilibrium is to drop down and relax, having met his target or maybe his body cannot continue at that level. So when I hear stuffs like let's see what u made 3months ago or let's see where u will be 6months from now its irritating, it's just plain irrational. What's d point of that? He can continue making high figures or not but when u choose to condescend, then u r being negative and discouraging. These are undesired attributes.
Some do the work in the interim, some to ease boredom, some to make ends meet, some to hit a target, some as side Hussle and some others have taken it as their main business. You get whatever you put into it.

The guy that won Best Driver in Lagos in Bolt mega challenge 2020 came second in 2019.
He won a brand new car. Mind u he owns his car...so don't think he was on rental that's why he was puting effort.
In 2019 he won fuel, phone and many other goodies. Do u know what it takes to win overall Best driver? Consistently??
When I saw his dashboard, I cap. My point is don't think for a second this work is a spark or a dash...if u find ur rhythm u can go on and on at a high level. If u can't do it but see people doing it don't cast aspersions. Celebrate them and find ur own niche.

After reading this and all the stated facts from the chief of unknown gunmen in disguise. I had to just calm down and off my bullet proof vest and hide gun.
I hope all newbies can read this and assimilate?
I got a request 10:41 last nite and immediately I go inside d estate after rider called gate and security let me in, na so she cancel trip and called me immediately. In her words “ Oga please let’s do offline, I’m coming out” and she cut phone immediately. I sensed trouble, why offline? To continue later

Leaving a warm bed early.
No discussions on stupid driver Whatsapp groups
No gathering with drivers on the road discussing nonsense
No oven lighting
No drinking with strangers
No socializing
No complaining

If you were expecting me to say I sleep on the streets with bucket in my boot so that I wake up early and baff beside my car, I'm really sorry to disappoint you. People who still sleep on streets are basically ignorant of the job they do and lack strategic skills.

I'm typing this from the comfort of my toilet seat in my house.

Look, if you don't understand something, you don't understand. No worry.

Can be very annoying. You take a rider to a place with a bad road or a lot of traffic, you position at the place for sometime so you can get a rider out of the bad road or traffic to compensate you. You don't get and decide to leave the place to position elsewhere

The moment you exit the traffic and bad road, you get a trip from the same place you had just left grin
