I still wonder why they are hell bent on Twitter but Gumi came on national TV the other day and kept saying rubbish not the president or any of this shallow minded people talked about it.

Misplaced priorities everywhere. Typically, someone like Gumi would be under serious grilling by security operatives in saner climes because his actions depicts that he somehow gains from these ransoms theyre asking for.

There's something hidden about this whole banditry rackets and Twitter is just being used to divert everyone's attention from the real issues.
If their kids were kidnapped, I bet they wouldn't have any time to think about Twitter.

If Twitter has to register and set up an office in Nigeria, then Nigerian websites and online shops would have to set up offices in not only the U.S., but within every country that has Internet access.

There 195 countries in the world.

Can you imagine if Nairaland, as well as every other Nigerian online company and online shop, had to open and operate an office in nearly 200 countries each?

How would Nigerian internet companies be able to afford that, especially developing country's struggling online industry that's trying to grow itself?

This shows a complete lack of understanding of how the online IT industry works.
