In essence the fee has dropped by about 20 million pounds in the last 12 months.

if this *£75m* is thrown at same position this summer, hmmm... how's the balance happening?
for all we know, he's staying and nobody will be surprised if Martial becomes an in-form Nani through out next season. aside Pogba, he's the only guy who can be sold for a reasonable fee.
there's still a small matter of a DM / CB.
Roma is courting Matic and Tuanzebe is pushing for a loan deal, so we'd be left with Mengi & the Fisch guy in reserve. I didn't count Bailly, we know his itinerary.

We even have a favorable business relationship with Sporting CP which we can leverage to best effect. It's like God created that club to produce class talents for Manchester United
