Hello everyone. I uploaded the normal bank statement I hope this won't be a problem for me

Not a problem at all, it's just that mybankstatement is considered more authentic because it's easily verifiable.
So if your bank have the facility, why don't you explore it, it takes nothing away from you. Just my thought.

Lol, I remember asking someone this question some time ago, you should see her own timeline....lightening speed.

Well, I did nothing differently other than using the NSE route, it was just Grace. A lot of people are getting decisions faster these days, yours may not be any different.

Hello everyone good morning
Please does requesting for GCMS influence your application or if the application is abandoned does the GCMS NOTE request make them to look into it again?

Requesting for your gcms note doesn't have any adverse effect whatsoever on your application, rather it helps you monitor your app and in some cases jolts your application back to life, paradventure dust don cover am where dem forget am.

1. Use the foodbank in your area- you get free food per week. Save money on food.
2. Apply to jobs at stores close to you: you can also drop your Canadian Style resume physically at these stores. (@tundetash on Twitter is your plug). You can apply for overnight shifts as well.
3. Search for shared apartments, in order to lower the cost of your rent. Facebook marketplace and kijiji.ca are just two of your many options.
4. Search for employment on campus(No restriction) too in addition with your job off campus (20hrs max)

These are basically the options I know of. All the best

Hi guys, I'm running out of funds in Canada.

What are the options of jobs I can do to save up for school fees, accommodation etc. Anyone with information should please share. Thanks

This is not about career progression. Animation is an important branch in Architecture, i have always loved it and want to focus on it squarely. No plans to progress in my studies in architecture. 13 years in architecture has been fun. My focus now is animation. I would have learnt it in Nigeria before leaving but most of it here is crap. And i learnt that diploma is more of practical, that's all i need in my life now. Less reading more doing.

Like I pointed out earlier, you can explain your reasons to the visa officer in your SOP/LOE.

it's also important to note that career progression is very important in this journey. Some VOs might think it's illogical to spend so amount of money for a lower degree when you can learn such skills mostly online these days.

That being said, I still suggest that you apply with a master's or PhD.

Not immigration advice.

PLEASE NOTE: VERY VERY VERY LONG POST!!!

This journey started last year (click on my moniker to read my first post on thread 18 to get an idea of what I’m talking about).

CANADA HAS BEEN A BIG DREAM OF MINE. I’VE BEEN ALMOST EVERYWHERE BUT CANADA (LOL).

I PRAYED THIS APPROVAL INTO EXISTENCE. I FASTED, KEPT DOING MIDNIGHT PRAYERS AND JOINED NSPPD PRAYER ALTAR WITH PASTOR JERRY EZE DAILY, BECAUSE THERE’S A HUGE POTENTIAL BUSINESS/CAREER OPPORTUNITY I’M HOPING TO EXPLORE IN CANADA AFTER MY STUDIES AND THIS ROUTE IS THE BEST WAY I KNOW TO ACHIEVE IT. THROUGH THIS ROUTE I’LL BE KILLING THE PROVERBIAL TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE, (THAT IS GETTING A CANADIAN QUALIFICATION WHICH WILL AID A GREAT DEAL WITH THIS PARTICULAR OPPORTUNITY). AND TODAY GOD DID IT!!!

Eligibility Review: commenced 24th June

This was a 2nd Application. First application I did not include any of the above documents. I was a complete novice. (Lol). I didn’t even include my Tuition receipt or CAC or property docs, nothing at all, just my LOA, qualifications and passport that’s all.

But thank God for Nairaland where I learned everything I needed to know for a successful application (especially, as a self-sponsored applicant).

Also, since I didn’t include vital docs in my last application, I decided to overload them with documents this time around grin grin

I keyed in to @justexcellent testimony of his approval and wrote out the same prayer points he used while I fasted earlier this year.

God bless you all richly and establish us in our quests for destiny fulfillment. A big thank you goes out to @frankrobbn, @justmellow, @justexcellent (for that wonderful and inspiring testimony), @lekiboboe for your tireless constant help here, and of course to everyone new and old who has contributed to the success of this thread thereby helping fulfill destinies. God bless and reward you all abundantly in Jesus Mighty name.

End Note: my love letter arrived while I was praying this morning by 4am. Didn’t realize it until I checked by 12noon thereabout.

Didn’t know they send PPRs on Saturdays!!!

INDEED WHAT GOD CANNOT DO DOES NOT EXIST.

Congratulations

You are correct. It doesn't need to be an immigration advice. It's a piece of logical and reasonable advice.

Even going for another master (which I saw somewhere it has about 1% percent approval), raises eye-brow but its much better than going for a diploma in a different thing when you have a master's and bachelor degree plus 13 years experience in your MSC & BSc line.

The truth is there is no tailored way in this visa thing. Wetin go work for one person, might not work for another

Hi, i don'tknow about other banks but i did it successfullylast month with CIBC, only challenge was getting USD in my domiciliary account.
Apparently with ALL Nigerian banks you can only transfer a minimum of 5000 USD, if the money in your account was cash deposited in the last 30 days but you can do any amount if it was a wire transfer.
Go to the CIBC website, select the student GIC, And generate the USD to CAD exchange rate, it will be locked for 20 minutes for u to fill out the form. The rate will expire after 20 minutes. You will be asked for international passport and LOA. Then CIBC will send you an account number to pay into takes like 1-2 working days, print it out and use it to fill out the forms. After the transfer 2 to 3 working days after the transfer you will get an investment advice.
N:B the money transfer to CIBC must come from the same name account
Hi Lovesarrow, thanks for your elaborate explanation, after this process i.e as stated above, how do you apply? Do you click on "Option 1: GCKey" or "Option 2: Sign-In Partner"?

Hello guys, as adviced i did some research on masters studies and phd. The cgpa requirements are crazy. My cgpa is 2.81 and their minimum is 3.0. But i found a Pre-master's program in University of Manitoba. What do you think, should i go fo the pre-master's and also its just a year program before applying for the actual masters.

IMHO, There's nothing crazy about 3.0 CGPA. In Nigeria, the requirement for M.Sc. in most universities is 3.0. For professional masters, such as MBA, MPA, MPH, MPM, 2.5 is accepted.

Is your CGPA on a 4.0 or 5.0 scale?
You might be considered for a masters degree because of your previous masters and 13 years work experience.

Feel free to reach out the admission office of various universities.

You can get a masters admission. Reach out to the admission office or graduatw coordinator of your department. Let them know you have a masters degree already. They should consider you.

And also the 13 years is the combination of both the study and work experience, exact work experience is 7-8 years.

Meeting the requirements for a masters with your 2.2 might be futile. Therefore your best bet is a PGD in a program related to your work experience.

You can start with Conestoga college etc.. Google can help more on that
