It's a predegree program which you will use to obtain a direct entry program into any University of your choice in Nigeria. Jamb is highly competitive, that's why the wise one always opt for IJMB/JUPEB.

Exactly. My neighbor scored 188 n got economics in ESUT. Buh if she one go de papa gats arrange 300k for both accommodation and school fees.

My course is Computer Engineering. Please what should I do, I want to enter school soon, the thought of staying at home for another one year terrifies me. I don't know what to do now.

Is there any chance that I will get admission this year at all?

it's possible to get admission (for even computer engineering) it just depend on some other factors. which university did you apply?

if you get admission good, if you don't......use that one year to learn a very lucrative skill.... This is a golden advice from someone who has written jamb, passed, got admission, graduated, served, got a job and is working..... Skill!!! Is the way to go in this economy.

Go and learn handiwork it will help you more than the university your craving to got admitted. The money should be used to do better things ooo.. school no dey help this days

JAMB nor Dey mark, they randomly award mark. That body should be scrapped.

This is not just an unproved allegation, I actually experimented on, and confirmed this. I graduated in 2006 but wrote another jamb in 2012 because I wanted to confirm if this my suspicion was true or not. I wrote Literature, Govt and CRS. By my calculations, I shouldn’t have scored less than 320 in that jamb but I was given 222.

Literature is divided into 2 sections; 50% Literary Appreciation and 50% questions from the recommended Text. I answered the literary appreciation section and LEFT THE OTHER 50% untouched cos I didn’t bother myself with reading the recommended texts.

I was scored 87 in literature (a subject in which 50% questions were left unattended). Govt, CRS and English that I did very and confirmed d answers after d exam, dem start Dey share 50, 52 and other scores like that....

Jamb nor Dey mark... if u still Dey doubt am, take the next jamb form for fun and confirm wetin I just talk

Either you change your course from Computer Engineering to a less competitive course, or you apply to a not so competitive university. Conduct a small research on the cut-off marks for state universities.

Should these not work out, you still have the option of running a pre-degree program in the university of your choice, or trying out IJMB/JUPEB to gain admission to 200 level (if you will concentrate and be serious).

Staying at home for one year is far from being an option.

Very possible but first I might be difficult in in Eastern part of the country. You needed to change to FULOYE @ Ekiti or ABU. Best of luck

you can get admission in Federal Poly to study that computer engineering... Start now and do change of institution

Tell her not to study biochem.It's a crappy course here in Nigeria.

My dear OP, go to school of health tech it’s a better option

God bless you for suggesting school of health tech. I have always told most people that instead of pursuing a degree in microbiology, biochemistry,anatomy and the rest of the supposedly sweet name courses ,with little or no job opportunity in the present Nigerian setting, its better u do med lab tech( not lab science o), health info management, community health and pharm tech in a school of health tech. U will definitely have jobs in health setting compared to the biochem, anatomy and microbiology graduate

My advice: In your desperation for going to school consider the security of the state the institution is situated to avoid unpleasant news my candid advice though. Because am seeing NYSC for some jambite. It's my opinion but I will emphasize it again, avoid state with security issue for now, No matter the entry cut off mark. My 1cents though.
