Seriously, it seems like there's mass failure in Jamb this year (and everyone is complaining of getting the score that they weren't expecting at all).

Maybe Jamb intentionally set it up because there are other pending admissions for Jamb to attend to. Maybe they cut off a certain mark from everyone's total score. But I'm not so sure about that, I'm now looking for ways to get admission with my current result.

My course is Computer Engineering. Please what should I do, I want to enter school soon, the thought of staying at home for another one year terrifies me. I don't know what to do now.

Is there any chance that I will get admission this year at all?

I searched and found a State University, ESUT, their cut off mark is 180 +, but it's expensive to study in that school.
I really need to get admission this year, because spending another one year at home isn't funny at all.
I don't even know if I should start preparing for the Screening exam or not.

Esut is expensive but it's still not among the most expensive state university in Nigeria.
You only Gat to spend a lot in 100L but subsequently, you only pay tuition fees n other minor departmental dues.
Esut will give you computer engineering if you put them 1st choice n score upto 180 in putme.
Just arrange like 300k for 1st year.
125k for school fees.
25k acceptance fee.
15k matriculation fee.
50k development levy.
Then ur accommodation choices determines what u will spend for accommodation.

Try learning a sport recognized by nuga and be proficient in it... schools give a quarter of admission to sports... hope this helps

You can change your course to library and information science and institution delta state university. I’m very sure you will gain admission. That was my kid bro’s score in last year’s jamb and now he is in school after 4 years of seeking admission.

If change of institution is still on I advised you to change to ATBU Abubakar Tafawa balewa university bauchi you'll be given admission ASAP computer and communication engineering

You can change your choice of university to Delta state university.
The possibility of getting admission for an Engineering course is very high.
That's because Engineering cut off mark at DELSU is usually low.

Good advice, if u have the means u should learn any skill in your mind now, as for me I learnt auto mechanic after my Nysc, learn any one now

You can do change of institution to Ekiti State College of Agriculture and Technology Isan Ekiti. Is a polytechnic. We offer Computer science and Elect/Elect Engineering. With 160 you are good to go. Kindly go to CBT centre to change to EKSCAT. Resumption is first week of July ( next week)

Hello OP. I will advice you to apply for university in the north, FULafia precisely. The least cut-off mark is 170. I just got admitted to study computer science with 177 UTME score.

Second class lower no be beans. In my school ABU 2:2 na die.

Which one is mass failure? My boss 17 year old daughter scored 303. That's a blast!

SOUTHERNERS live in a world of their own. A friend of mine scored 230+ in JAMB some 5 years back and UDUS no gree am MED and SURGERY.

Don't mind some of them. I met some here in UDUS who came with that mindset for postgraduate program and ended up abandoning the program.

JAMB is no longer sincere in the scores they put up for people.
Previously, everyone had the option of seeing their scores immediately after submission and the scores that year was quite high because the marking was integrated into the questions.
But for reasons best known to them they removed that option
