Fresh information made available to POLITICS NIGERIA has detailed how the Nigerian Government was able to capture the wanted leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.

According to TheWill Newspaper, Kanu was captured after Nigeria’s attorney general, Abubakar Malami wrote to the Ethiopian government through the ministry of foreign affairs alerting them that Kanu, a wanted fugitive was in their country.

The government also contacted INTERPOL for assistance in arresting and extraditing Kanu to Nigeria to face his charges.

He was intercepted last weekend and immediately repatriated to Nigeria. Kanu was on Tuesday arraigned in court and remanded in DSS custody. His case was adjourned till July 26th.

It will be recalled that Kanu jumped bail in 2019 and has been on the run since. He is currently facing charges of treasonable felony which carries the death penalty.

How could he allow himself to be captured? I have always said that IPOB problems is that they do not have a structure. If not even if Nnamdi Kanu had to travel, he would use at least two or three body guards.

Now IPOB will be exposed as a weak structure less organization. It will soon scatter.

It is sad really. Because while Nnamdi Kanu lasted, at least he made Nigeria stand on its toes.
I am afraid, he is done for. IPOB does not have the necessary structure to fight for his release.

Please don't soil Ojukwu's name with that scammer. I have always known him to be a scammer, albeit a smart one. He decieved the igbos with some selective truth only when it serve his purpose.

Igbos are known for our egalitarian nature. Your words and opinions are good as anyone's else. Where then did he get his authoritarian disposition? His words were law in the mind of IPOB members and not to be countered. This is clearly against our culture.
