Why bother bringing him home?

Why bother bringing him home ?
He was far away... farther from his people
There, far away, he had only twitter as a voice
Though quite vocal, but we here couldn’t hear him.
Many like me weren’t following
Those who followed, couldn’t hear him.
You already banned twitter.

Why bother bringing him home
Where the people will read tribalism in this act:
You brought this one home for justice
But you left the other one to roam the Sahel

Why bother bringing him home
To walk the path of so many great leaders
Leaders who went from agitation to prison
And finally to become an Oracle
whose voice many heed

Why bother bringing him home
When you can leave this issue to the next man
In less than 2 years, you can pass the buck
We all get caught in the electioneering and forget about him.

When bother bringing him home
When you know his death makes him a martyr.
His jailing makes him a political force
A force that can’t be rivaled in his region

Why bother bringing him home
Who advised you to do this?
Remember those by your side only tell you what you want to hear.
They never say what you “need” to hear.

Why bother bringing him home
Now that he’s home... many will hear his voice
You have brought home an Oracle

Thats why I never support BIAFRAN movement. Because the Igbos haven't learned to the benefit of Unity in politics.

They are so divided and that's why they fail politically.

though I have never been a supporter of Nnamdi Kanu jumping bail and recent style of violent agitation, but shame on southeast elite and political class. while others are protecting and shielding their own whether rightly or wrongly, you cowardly and foolishly give up your own for slaughter, injustice is arrogantly thrown at you on a daily basis and your young generation are unjustly treated, you have no response. your region is not even responsible for the problem confronting Nigeria today yet you are the one receiving the harmer .You continuously act and behave as inferiors to a people of equal standing with you, you lack unity, you lack love for your kin and you lack intelligence and good strategy. Greed and self interest has beclouded your sense of reasoning and sound judgment. again shame on you. keep begging and expecting presidency that the process for it never to get to you has been finalized.

On fears that Kanu may be eliminated, Archbishop Chukwuma said that would amount to looking for the trouble of the Igbo.

He added: “We will not allow him to be eliminated. Let him face his trial and judgment.

“They cannot eliminate anybody like that. If they eliminate him, then, they are looking for more trouble.”

It's so obvious what the elders of SE have against Kanu. He took over leadership from them!

I think the Archbishop Chukwuma was irresponsible with his utterances. We don’t really know how Kanu was lured, set up and arrested.
Believing that he was set up with a woman to Brazil isn’t something I’d expect from Chukwuma...except he has a credible source. The Brazil angle in my opinion was meant to ridicule Kanu...

Kanu talks too much...a lot of people have stopped listening to him. Recently he was talking about Britain, British high commissioner to Nigeria and US ambassador colluding with Nigeria government and receiving bribes.

I was disappointed hearing that.
I am angry with the arrest, I am disappointed but I think his arrest is overdue but that wouldn’t stop the ideology. Kanu has played his part. I believe there are lots to gain from his outbursts, ESN, IPOB.
I’ve never contributed to IPOB or ESN but if they reorganise, I’d render my support.

Fulanis and their mercenaries should be kept well away from our forests and lastly...To hell with Buhari...To hell with individuals like Joe Igbokwe.

Man, do not blame the south East elders. In my opinion, they have really tried for Nnamdi Kanu. You don't expect people you have fallen out with to start supporting you in times of trouble. Most of these elders tried to advise Kanu with his way of agitation but he called them unintelligent Fulani slaves, threatened to kill them and even had some of them killed. You have no idea how happy most of these elders are right now. See ehn, an average Igbo man that we used to know only wants to make money and enjoy it.

This talkative lunatic 'bishop' is a chronic attention seeker who is unhappy that people no longer listen to his threats against them not paying tithes to him but instead people are listening to Kanu. We know he has been waiting for this day so as to mock Kanu but to burst his bubble, No one cares about his senseless outburst, people will still hold Kanu in high esteem no matter what happens. He is free to commit suicide if he likes

Don't be too fast to judge, until things settle down. DSS is on overdrive to throw people off the scent of where he was arrested.

The British high commission has to tell the world, the country that Kanu traveled to. Nigeria will not like the true information known. Kanu is alive and will hopefully make that known

As much as I’ll blame south east leaders, Nnamdi kanu doesn’t listen to anyone. He abuses everyone and idiots here see him as the archetypal Igbo man full of himself, arrogant and disrespectful of other people.

ESN is flawed. Their set up, leadership and operations as well.
The most annoying is the man they call Emma Poweful. He writes well but messes up his speech by mentioning Fulani caliphate or throwing jabs at the wrong people.

Igbos can’t be led by people like that.

There might be some truth in dis. I always doubted that UK handed him over to Nigeria cause if that were the case, we would have heard about it before now. Secrets don't exist in the UK. Anyone who knows, knows.
But he is a British citizen ,does it mean they will allow their citizen to be arrested just like that?

He's a Nigerian citizen as well and there's no sign he's being badly treated or unlawfully treated.

He's being accused of a crime and expected to defend himself. What exactly do you want the UK to do about that?

Hmmm. If that is the case why is it difficult for Nigeria government to ask for Kanu's repatriation right from the outset instead of using method to trick him to another country before he can be arrested?
