Purchase a token from any nepa office or accredited outlet. (you can also pay and purchase online from your bank account). Plug the small box given to you to light source and enter the token purchased. Press the green or enter button. (make sure you do this when there is power supply) and BOOM, UP NEPA!!! Suprisingly, they also brought the meter for me free of charge.

We where also given free meter in warri....
Though not all areas in warri Sha, you can't just buy a token and load, you have to go to their office with the card dat contains does numbers a d register it, they will gve u a 40 number pass key to input on ur card reader, after those 40 numbers u can now buy normal token and load
Ps.... The registration suppose b free or dem collect at least 100 naira

50% of what you recharged will be used to off set the prepaid till the complete amount is withdrawn from your recharge

These ones they are rolling out is free

This one is Mass metering programme the one you are talking about should be the CAPMI scheme or something like that.

They were practically hawking the meter in my area. They sent an SMS initially, Most of us collected then went to the office later to fill application form.

The meter is not yet activated. You have to visit their office or call their customer care. They'll tell you what to do

This they do by deducting 50% on every recharge you make on your prepaid. I guess that's why it now being forced on every house for free.

You should have been more patient. Theyll have gotten to your area and then you'll ask one of them to help you with a personal meter at no cost.

Those saying it's not free because of the deductions, please note that what is being deducted is the unsettled bills you guys were owing on previous meter. They are not charging you for any installations.
