When we lost the ball, we were utterly exposed cause Pedri himself was also further up the same pitch. When Koeman stopped tinkering with that set-up and reverted to just Bus in that DM, we beat an Athletic Bilbao convincingly and almost won La Liga

We just need to need to just play with the same setup as Spain. Leave Bus in front of the defense. Allow De Jong to drop a little bit to move the ball from defense to attack. Him and Pedri can do this very well and are very good at pressing. No need of Messi dropping so deep to create chances. Then hopefully Aguero and Depay can get their shooting boots on. We'll be the team to beat next season

Starter. He's been very consistent in this tournament and has shown with the right system, he's still a quality player

My issue na the defense. Always has been. I don't know why nobody in the club hasn't seen that Pique has always struggled playing alongside players that are similar to him.

He played alongside Puyol who is an aggressive defender. Prior to Umtiti struggling with his fitness, he was that type of defender. Now we've brought in Garcia who is similar to Pique.

This is same thing with Madrid for example. Varane who is similar struggles playing without an agressive Ramos. This is where my major issue is

Honestly, yes. Pique is very much the ball-playing defender, with a knack for aerial balls clearance and the likes. The perfect alternative would have been Oscar but boy is still very young and still prone to mistakes. Araujo himself, is still too injury prone.

I hope Laporta does something fast.

As I was watching Spain's game today, I was just wondering why we (Barcelona) were so bad. Things I noticed.

1) They were making quick incisive passes. This is something that Keoman hates with passion. That's why he was Benching Puig, who was the only other player that played that way.
Keoman wants the team to play slow unimaginative football

2) lack of a striker really affected us.

3) I know we already know this, but Griezmann is really a limitation to our game. Just look at how functional the likes of Olmo, ferran torres and Sarabia were on the wings.

And the intensity.

I don tire abeg. Thinking of last season just makes me weak.
