The $160 MRV Fee for F1 Students can be paid at any GTBANK in Nigeria in naira using #420 to $1. Equivalent is #67,200.
Your Int'l passport will be required.

I hear you can also pay online via their mobile app.

Thank you for the response @Hallejuahvoice. I'm not back in Nigeria yet so I was hoping I could find a way to pay/make an appt before I arrive. Appreciate it though

As you have noted earlier, the only date available for you is 2022. The only way to get a date for this year is to apply for an expedited visa interview... you've also asked if you could buy a date from an agent... one is left to conclude that you are looking for an emergency date.

But hey, feel free to play semantics. An F2 visa does not qualify for an expedited review... you can fulminate all you want.

Thank you for your feedback. But the approval says it’s only valid till July 8th in the mail sent earlier today.
Just wondering if an approval was given isn’t it certain you’ll get a date? Or should I be bothered ?

You said something in this thread that is very key but might be unnoticed.

I have my visa interview next week and the only thing scaring me is that my work experience in the last two years is not relevant to my course of study and Ms program in the US.

How do I sound very convincing to the V.O.?

Please guys I need help.

Hello everyone, please gurus in the house I will appreciate if you all help me look through my proposed transcript, I’m open to corrections and suggestions. Thank you

School: University of Denver
Program: Masters in International Security
COA: $61609 & Scholarship: 15000

VO: What’s your purpose of travelling?
Me: To pursue masters in international security at the university of Denver

VO: Why this school?
Me: Several things stood out for me about the institution ma’am, First of all the school adoption of experimental education will make me exposed to the real world knowledge by enabling me to participate in special programs and internships around the world, the school teaching syllabus is also a unique blend of both practical and theoretical teaching, also Denver has 13 research institutions and this will make me work alongside with global networks of scholars, experts and researchers in the field, and of course the scholarship given to me is an added advantage for me.

VO: Why did you choose to study this course?
Me: it is basically born out of interest, growing up in a country that struggles with insecurity issues with different bandit strategies on a daily basis, my interest got boosted with my undergraduate research work on insecurity issues in Nigeria, ‘’A case study of Boko Haram attack in the Northeast and its socio economic implications” with my analysis I found out that over 40000 lives were lost, 3 million persons got displaced, 310,000 persons became refuges, and with my present exposure working in the security firm, this course will make me problem solver by producing strategies, solutions that will be useful to my country security sector.

VO: What will this course do for you?
Me: I really want to work as a security expert in a renowned security organization here in Nigeria, and upon my current exposure in the security firm, there is a need for additional knowledge to be able to make relevant impact, with this course I will get the right competence and skills needed to achieve this.

VO: Tell me about your course:
Me: I will be required to take a 60 credit course in 2 years, I will take a compulsory course on defense and security methods and also great issues of international affairs and policy and also foreign policy, global environmental governance, statistical method and data collections, gender and security, human rights and security, international terrorism, regional security and conflict resolution.

VO: Why USA?
Me: I choose because my school is located in America and its is one of the few schools that offers best master of international security with a unique blend of both practical and theoretical teachings, also the school faculty is made up of subject matter experts.

VO: What is your highest qualification?
Me: A Bsc in international relations with a second class upper from bleep university…

Vo: who will be your sponsor and what does he do?
Me: my uncle will be my primary sponsor, he has been a major part of my academic achievements over years, and he deals in imports and exports of automobiles for over 20 years. My father will be a co-sponsor and I also have some personal savings.

VO: What is your research interest?
Me: I want to be able to define non-violent strategies and civil actions that would help tackle security threats in Nigeria by working with proff Avant on her ongoing investigation into effects of non-violent actions in conflict zones.

VO: How many schools did apply to and name them
Me: 3 schools
University of Denver
George Washigton University
North Arizona state university

July and August are available via Emergency appointment now. I'm hoping to get a date within the first or second week of August but that isn't available now. You can book for July at the moment though.

Please I need your opinions on my situation. Got admission for a doctorate degree. I also got a research assistantship position but will only cover 1/3 of my tuition. Though, I still have other sources of aids I am waiting for the outcome, but I have to apply for visa asap. I have no choice but to find a way to cover the rest of my expenses. I have to be honest that my cash flow in my bank account is not that good, and I am thinking of moving the available cash to a fixed deposit. Then, I can get a printed copy of the fix deposit letter from my bank without showing 6 months cash flow. Just a letter. Note that the money can be withdrawn anytime, and the money there will certainly be enough. Definitely will tell my bank to state clearly the money can be withdrawn anytime. Is this acceptable? Could anyone advise me?
