Baz001 shey u have finally join me abi? But dru23 we r on d same page nah, how u goan throw dirt at me like that grin interesting to say I don't live online & at no point will I ever display my essence online or underestimate anyone. Even if I have 10 cars, I'm sorry to let u know, it's not for online consumption. I can relate wit celebrating ur wins like an average blacks holding money to their ears, especially when u grew with holes in your shoes, but trust; I won't consider myself satisfy until I pass dat 100m range. So ur highness I don't expect u to b low enough not to know when a man cherish his privacy.

But come to think of it, it's a good thing u have cars on Uber, my question to u is, what is the return like? Let's b honest with ourselves. I didn't spend a million on a car and I've made ×2 of d cost of getting one. It may interest u to know I bought it naija used and the only money I spent is oil change for both gear and engine, with 5k for d engine one of the fan, used the car for complete 1 yr before changing gear out of using d wrong ATF(oando dextron) based on mechanic advice. Is it a good buy? Menh! If I can turn back d hands of time, I'll buy d car over and over again.

Now back to business, if it cost you 1.8 (I guess) and u spend 200k plus to put it together all in the name of lying to urself "Uber standard". That's 2m plus in total... ur drivers r giving u 100k/month, it's going to take a year and 8 months for u to get ur cost of investment back and in those 20 months, u jam Felicity001, u jam d one that drove ur gear to damage, d one that made u spend 100k, yet u r still buying more cars. Biko! Are u buying more cars from profit made? How much debt does ur drivers incur in repair? I can see u paint ur cars to spotless each time u upload, ur drivers don't dent dem at all or its inside the 100k per month u paint, service and still repair? My point, if u are bringing fresh fund from some where else to keep a particular business floating, does not mean u r making headway in such business. Call me, let me show u the way, promise not to ask too many questions like if you are single, home address, fax, SSN, favorite food or if u snore.

Dru23 b calming down, u r still trying to get the money u investment back, me I'm already reaping profits. No gesture of offence, I'm just trying to send a message and incase u need our rating to know we r doing just well, check below.

Admin pls take note:-

The honest truth here is we are on a different level. The reason is am based in the USA and am closer to the market than you.
Meaning that I can source for cars alot cheaper and faster than you. And sourcing for dollars is alot cheaper for me .........so let us get right down to business below......

In any business you do . you either in for the long term or short and you either have small capital or large capital.. Another advantage I have over you ....

Since I have the capital and competitive edge over you .I decided to go for the long term investment. Meaning that I might not make huge profit at the beginning . but if I do things the right way I will make profit later on in the business......

Tokunbo vs Naija used cars ......We all know for a fact that naija used cars on uber is a big risk. There are so many hidden problems that will cost short term or long term......
Naija used cars on uber will more than likely to break down than a tokunbo car. Each time your car is sitting at the mechanic you are losing money . Your lossing down time . you have to take those down time as part of your losses.

And we all know that at times before a mechanic attends to you it might few days to few hours. You still have to calculate those time has lost revenue....

Tokunbo cars..... Since my uber cars are Tokunbo. It will cost me more upfront vs Naija used cars. But I will not suffer as much break down, down time as ur naija used cars ... Yes it looks expensive now but in the long run it will pay off ....

And while your naija used car will likely if lucky last you six months on Ehalling. But mine will last me at least 2 years or more. I gave an example of my red 2003 civic that was bought Tokunbo. That civic as been on uber for almost 3 years now and the car is still running smoothly wink Another advantage over you be that.........

Also keep in mind I have not 1 or 2 cars on uber ..But I have multiple cars ..meaning that I have easy access to funds to buy more cars or better yet I can easily afford to spend 100k to 200k to put my Tokunbo cars to uber standard......

Now if you take your emotions out of it and look at the list of repairs that I posted... You just look at 223k naira and didn't bother to carefully read the list....

You can see the list are combination minor things that cost big...
Example.. Once the Honda Civic arrives we do counter balance of tires and rims.. To give the car higher ground clearance. We buy bigger rims and tires. The cost this time around was 45k naira.....

I always budget 100k to 200k when putting my Tokunbo cars ready for uber standard....we try as much as possible not to go over 200k. And also once we put the car together we look for a good driver to match the car with.. We just don't give out tokunbo cars out to anyone like .......

So by spending more now. I have peace of mind that no repairs for at least 4months . only oil change or just minor wear and tear that will not caused a significant amount of down time ...........

Once you start expanding your own business u will understand much better....... You might still wonder how I still make profit . But a business man will never reveal to you his trade secret. One day when u get there you will understand......

Indeed, what goes down will go up. I just wish all drivers can understand that last part and stop being mumus to these entitled riders. As per bad odour, na so I carry Hausa olosho yesterday night. Omo come perceive correct aboki perfume. Thank God na short distance trip.
InfinityEstates:
How do you guys cope with the smell abi na pungent odour coming from riders. Some na mouth odour (and they wouldn't stop talking), some body odour, some just finished taking weed, some wack perfumes that would want to make you puke. Na God dey help person sha.

Then there's this entitlement mentality that some would have, which you'll think you are used to, but then you'll just see someone display a new one that would make you just shake your head.

So last night I picked up a guy from the mall. He bought half bag of rice and some other things sha. Got to his estate and after going through bad roads he pointed at his gate that I should honk. In my mind I was like hope this wère doesn't expect me to drive in o (e no dey hard dem). I just parked in front of the gate, honked and ended the trip. He was like oga you have to enter, I cannot carry that bag of rice. In my mind, see this guy o, because of 25kg rice wey you buy I just told him I don't drive into compounds in the night. As I looked through the rear view mirror, if you see eye wey this guy look me ehn, I just smiled in my head. I know last last na rating no suffer am. But then again, what goes down must surely go up.
