When Pogba was on injury before we purchased Bruno, Fred was our best midfielder. When Pogba returned and we got Bruno, his performance dropped.

I don't blame those asking for Fred's head.

For a player of that national and experience, Fred is not the best fit for a united midfield.

At times I feel like cursing the guy when he fails to do the simplest things.

But every player do experience these lapses just that you choose to ignore other players and crucify Fred. A solid defensive midfielder yes. Fred is not a DM. It's just like asking Kante to stay at the base. It won't work. You need a Matic, Drinkwater, Jorginho there

We shouldn't be playing both of them together, one should sit for the other, or better still get sold and I think that would be Pogba.

We play 4-2-3-1 Pogba is better in a 4 3 3, Bruno is better in a 4 2 3 1, simple sturv here

We need a specialist DM with good passing ability, Mctalentless should be a bench player.

1) Fred plays mainly as a CDM (no 6) for us but plays as a CM (No8) for Brazil. The 2 roles are different and excelling at one does not mean you will be good in the other. A no 6 depends more on positioning and ability to receive the ball from the CBs which are Fred's weaknesses. A No8 can either depend on technique, runs, passing or fall back on energy, work rate which is what Fred excels at.

2) We shouldn't play Fred in his preferred position as a no 8 cos that is also Pogba's best position and there is no debate about who is better between those 2. The best situation would be to buy a specialist CDM to play with Pogba and relegate McFred to the bench where they belong.

3) Even if the positions were exactly the same international football is different in terms of the pace of play, team dynamics e.t.c. Doing well in one does not mean you will excel in the other.
