In a standard game, our players would have gotten a lot of cards, both yellow and red. What sort of playing style is this?

Is this what Philosopher1979 calls the African style?

The handlers have a lot of work to do, even in our last games against Cameroon we were missing some key players. As I stands now it seems we only have a first 11 because with the poor performances against Cameroon and this by the home based players I'm starting to worry if any of our key players are unavailable for our WC qualifiers

Very poor displays all round, only the goalkeeper deserves a ratings of 4/10, the rest should get 2/10 at most

Somebody confidently predicted 4-0, thumbs up to him. What a wasted friendly, no positive take out all trash.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by JohnBullMySon: 6:07am On Jul 04, 2021
Well done, home based. You did your best, no one was expecting you to win in the first place. The defense was average, though slow and rough.

The attack was shambolic to be kind, there was even a moment where a Mexican defender did not go for ball, he simply waited for the attacker to come close and he cleared the ball away from his legs. What a shame.

It was all business.

The excuse for not inviting foreign based players was useless.

The plan was to get a substandard national team with some repute, hype the game to sell tickets and merch, then effectively thrash the team in front of the 'home' fans. Everybody wins. Our home boys taste US for one week, Mexico boys prove dominance at 'home', money is made. The only people that will suffer are the real fans who paid to see a classic and were dissapointed.

The whole thing is like all those nonsense WWE John Cena setups when they'll hype the opponent, outnumber Cena etc. Then Cena wins against all odds, fans are happy, money is made, etc etc.

It's very shameful.
It was done to boost Mexican confidence before the Gold cup. Amaju lied to those boys' faces telling them they were better than MLS players grin

Iwuala was even a bit stable and confident. If he played with a good finisher, we might have gotten a least one back.

Let's wait for the game first. 4-0 will be even be a miracle.

I'm not against home based players but truth be told. This is one of the most foolish match fixtures to happen in this 21st century.

I'm not expecting any suprises here. Foolish actions always lead to foolish results.
