Don't see anything here to excite me. She played this way when in college here in the US. Schemerkhiz: |

BascoVanVeli:We just entered July and the US national team has played up to 12 games. Some of their players don't even have up to that amount of game time for club. E.g Rapinoe. They play too much games together. It's like their national team is their club side. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 7:15am On Jul 07, 2021 |
They play over 15 games in a year , imagine super falcons playing 15 games in a year how good would they be ? they will be so high in the Fifa ranking which will give them easy group in the world cup instead of death everytime timay: |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by PDPGuy: 7:45am On Jul 07, 2021 |
isan:Exactly. Even the top men’s international teams (prior to the introduction of the Nations Leagues) barely play up to 4 friendlies in a year. |

Schemerkhiz:Not just best defender... Best player! |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by CoolJulian: 9:01am On Jul 07, 2021 |
Schemerkhiz:Leicester city's best player, actually. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by CoolJulian: 9:09am On Jul 07, 2021 |
marvin906:Seriously, I see him as a serious coach, he's got the passion. The local coaches would never have considered the foreign players. Randy's effort at bringing in better players, no matter where they are, shows he's got great zeal to improve the team. |

AkinDS:Home based players should not be retained at the expense of better, more experienced players, for instance, Ihezuo, Umotong and Imo are better players than Vivian. However, I support that they be invited to train with the team. The home league has seriously regressed. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 9:34am On Jul 07, 2021 |
timay:Dem no go listen. USA have been doing this since the 90s. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by CoolJulian: 9:47am On Jul 07, 2021 |
BascoVanVeli:...and they still dominate the list of world's best players- you might want to look through it. shouldn't that tell you something? |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by CoolJulian: 9:51am On Jul 07, 2021 |
AkinDS:You are right! I think it's Masters, though. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by mostob(m): 9:55am On Jul 07, 2021 |
Schemerkhiz:Very impressive. One thing that I noticed is how she easily spot the runs of her teammate and her perfectly executed through balls. Double footed, creative, good goalscorer, good dribbler and explosive pace....very very impressive. Ordega might just make way for her. Are you sure she is not faster than Oshoala ? I think she is faster or both may be at par. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 10:02am On Jul 07, 2021 |
CoolJulian:What it doesn't tell me is the NWSL towering over all European leagues like u said. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by mostob(m): 10:05am On Jul 07, 2021 |
AkinDS:Nothing special? Is there any winger you will tale over her currently? |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by CoolJulian: 10:06am On Jul 07, 2021 |
mostob:She's doing quite good, but you need to be careful about these short clips. And, her pace is not even close to Oshoala's. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by CoolJulian: 10:09am On Jul 07, 2021 |
mostob:She's not really an upgrade over the others, calm down, bro. She's got great potentials, though. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by mostob(m): 10:20am On Jul 07, 2021 |
CoolJulian:I know. My comment is based on the clip. I agree we need to watch her full game over and over. Then, Oshoala must be really fast. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by mostob(m): 10:23am On Jul 07, 2021 |
CoolJulian:I will have to disagree with this. How is she not an upgrade on what we have. Apart from the new additions, who are the decent wingers in the team? I was really surprised she didn't get to play much during the last world cup. Mind you, I have been following her since...before the last AWCON specifically. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 12:55pm On Jul 07, 2021 |
AkinDS:There's no way you're going to compare how she played at the NAIA to what she played last season in Sweden, by the way NAIA is not even at the same level with the NCAA, I will rank them alongside the NJCAA.. Her first professional Contract at Sevilla FC didn't last long all due to Covid situation and also because Linkopings LFC brought a better offer.. She played just 4 League game's and 2cup game's for Sevilla even though she didn't score, her play was okay coming from the NAIA Her first full professional season was this past 2020 season where she played 22games, scoring 8goals and 5assist.. Starting 18 of those 22games... This Current Season she has scored 6goals in 11games with 2 assist.. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 1:10pm On Jul 07, 2021 |
mostob:You're very correct, but she isn't faster than Oshoala or Ordega but she's arguably the next to them in terms of pace among the Superfalcon Strikers Talking about Ordega making way for Kanu that's would be difficult because on a good day Ordega would run your Defence down and cause havock and Coach Randy also have a lot of trust in Ordega (She just need to find her form that's all)... Levante UD two regular striker just Left the club, one of them Finnished second scoring 30goals just 1 behind Barcelona Femenino Jennifer Hermaso.. Spain top 9 Esther and Argentina Banini, I believe with their departure there's more room for Ordega to become a starter and also step up her game. Levante UD is also playing in the UEFA Women's Champions League which is another plus... |

| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 2:58pm On Jul 07, 2021 |
oshoala not a natural striker that is why she misses so many goals her finishing abilities is like 40% , she once missed five 1on1 against Zambia the coach should play her in wings ordega : not a striker she's a winger uchenna kanu : a winger rasheedat ajibade : when last did she start as a striker for club and country ? She's naturally a winger onomonwu : yes a striker but she's yet to prove herself in the green shirt , need more time okoronkwo : too fragile to strike , i think she will do well as a AM Ariyo: one of the few natural striker we have Anam imo : a winger ihezuo : average Ebere orji Good striker and a finisher , why is she not getting call ups? umotong : Good striker |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 3:37pm On Jul 07, 2021 |
isan:How is Ordega not a Striker? U17 she played as no.9 U20 she paired most times with Desire Oparanozie upfront in a 4-4-2 formation.. For the Superfalcons that's when she plays majorly from the wing due to the fact that she plays close to the touchline and draw out opponent fullbacks, deliver pullouts, but She herself, Oparanozie, Oshoala most times interchange positions during game's ( one of their tactics especially during Coach Florence Omagbemi tenure..) At Pitea IF is Sweden she played as their top striker.. At Washington Spirit in US, she played the 3 positions upfront alongside Crystal Dunn and Argentina Banini.. During her loan stints with Atletico de Madrid Femenino she played top9. Please, permit me to use a male player as an Example, Do you call Ronaldo a Winger or a Striker?? Uchenna Kanu has never been a Winger, she plays similarly like Ronaldo, but her favorite position is the Left wing forward.. At Linkopings LFC she played top9 on few occasions last season especially when Ebere Orji was on the bench and Sweden Striker Lina Hurtig was out injured.. Rasheedat Ajibade isn't a Winger Sir, though she plays well there, we should be happy this ladies are versatile. For your information Rasheedat Ajibade Plays Striker, Right Forward for Atletico de Madrid Femenino, Try and get their game's, watch them before commenting.. Okay please tell me which Position Rasheedat Ajibade Played against South Africa during the 2018 AWCON Final?? Anam IMO a striker but can play from the wing too, At Rosengard FC she never played as a Winger, currently at Pitea IF she plays Central Forward 3goals in 10 games Player's like Ex international Stella Mbachu, Ogbonna Chukwudi, Esther Sunday, Aminat Yakubu, Patricia George are the ones you're to refer to as Wingers... The picture below was the Superfalcon formation against USA Please get your facts right...

isan:Yes Ebere Orji is a Striker but if you watch 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany, the 3games falcons played, she played as a Left winger, with Stella Mbachu from the right leaving Desire Oparanozie and Nkwocha upfront as our Strikers against Canada and France.. That same World Cup against Germany Perpetual Nkwocha and Rita Chikwelu played Midfield, with Sarah Michael and Oparanozie upfront... Ngozi Ebere who's one of our favorite Left Back used to be a Midfielder until Coach Edwin okon converted her to a Full back.. If you follow up this player's from the League here down to U17 till date you will know their original positions and their optional positions.. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by timay(m): 3:56pm On Jul 07, 2021 |
mostob:@,Bolded, Oshoala against Man City was just dusting Lucy Bronze like nothing. And Bronze is England's fastest fullback . She's very fast. Just like Rashford of Man united, her speed and ability to make run in behind defenders creates a lot of goal scoring opportunities for her because those Barca women midfielders are good and always spot her runs with good passes, but her average finishing ability is why she always miss a lot of those chances, just like Rashford too. But I bet you , when you put another player in that position or she's playing with midfielders that can't spot a run, those 1v1 chances won't happen. |

isan:The role of a striker is rather different from that of a traditional centre-forward, most times the terms centre-forward and striker are used interchangeably at times, as both play further up the field than other players, the likes of Roosa Ariyo, Desire Oparanozie, Abby Wambach, Birgit Prinz, Gaelle Enganemout, Vivian Miedema, Sam Kerr are typical example of Center forward but can also be called Strikers Will you refer to the likes of Lieke Martens, Graham Hansen, Rolfo as Wingers?? Just because they play closed to the touch line, dribble into the box or cut back and deliver pullouts into the box! |

Atletico de Madrid Femenino sign Argentina Estefania Banini from Levante UD..

| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 4:52pm On Jul 07, 2021 |
timay:Oshoala has track and field speed. She really could have been a 100m champion if she had gotten into track and field earlier. I really believe that. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 4:56pm On Jul 07, 2021 |
codemaniacs:I wish we could set up a race between the two. Blessing would definitely win but I think it would be close. Didn't she just break the world record? |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by codemaniacs: 4:59pm On Jul 07, 2021 |
BascoVanVeli:Asisat running without the ball will be faster and she's also younger. But they have to race to know who will win. |

Listen carefully, the reason the USWNT is so good is that they take time off from club football to have long camps from time to time. This is a league that has shut down multiple times. Nobody watches it. So don't come and start telling stories.
