Hello House, Please has anyone requested for their GCM notes and it was taking longer than necessary to arrive? I used gcmnotes.com and today is the 38day since I ordered for my notes. Feedback from the team is that IRCC has not released my file yet.

Yesterday I sent 2 webforms to Canada and Kenya asking that my details be released. I’ll continue again today with engagement. But has anybody experienced delay with receiving their gcm notes before?

I would like to use this opportunity to thank @Frankrobbn1 for working out my very difficult and complex case to a happy ending. Coming in contact with @Frankrobbn1 is one of the best thing that has happened to me. Word alone can not express my sincere gratitude to the incredible support and top-notch immigration services he rendered to me throughout the process. I have had the opportunity to work with few other consultants on my immigration case and I can say with every sense of responsibility that @Frankrobbn1 is unarguably one of the best persons I have ever worked with. I respect his personality and how professional he is in making my dream of relocating to Canada a success.

My first conversation with Mr Frank was after I had been denied for five (5) times and after speaking with him on the phone for over an hour, i was more than convinced that he is the right person to handle my case, so I decided to give it a shot again without minding the cost implications. I am incredibly impressed with the way and manner @Frankrobbn1 handled my case. Believe it or not, Mr. Frank is very knowledgeable in dealing with refused applications and he pays detailed attention to people's issues.

If you are out there looking for a professional to assist you in all your immigration case, @frankrobbn1 of fandrglobal.com is your last bus stop and I strongly recommend him because he will make your Canada dream come through as he did for me.

God's delay isn't His Denial. When something is taking longer than you expected, trust and believe that God is preparing you for something great. Thank you everyone for making this platform a source of Happiness and devoting the time to help others succeed. You guys are good. I wish you all the best of luck and a successful application.

Hi,

For your wife, Memorial University of Newfoundland has one of the ridiculously cheap tuition in Canada. At least I know for MBA it is below $1,000/semester. But the Province is remote and laid back so alot of students who go there leave immediately after graduation. It may also be easier to get PR in NFL through Provincial Nomination and/or after graduation but there maybe requirement to live there for a few years. I have heard about New Brunswick too having low tuition rate -- others can chip in on this question.

Note only research masters and PhD get funded. Taught masters are rarely/never funded or maybe very poorly. It even gets worse with a finance/business major. The logic is that you are studying the course to make money first so you can aswell invest/pay for it yourself unlike sciences/tech that may not necessariy be commercial in nature (at least not immediately). It is assumed these latter courses especially their research versions are likely to impact the society more.

Your own profile looks very interesting too but for the HND part. If you can get a Msc in Forensics (Crime Lab Science etc) you may be able to also get a study visa. You have the background and related work experience. If you find a good lab that needs your own unique skills, it is not impossible to get some funding for a research masters but still your HND profile may pose a challenge in this regard. Consult more on this and other fora to see what schools can offer you admission with your profile. It is not impossible, may be hectic but worth trying.

You both should try a multi-prong approach for the eventual benefits of your family.

It shall end in praises. Ire oh!

Thank you for your response. I appreciate.

Since she is in sales, doing a course that isn't business related may be a problem for her when she applied for a study visa.

Secondly, I thought of going because I don't know how she will copw.witg our son if she gets the visa.

His my HND self. What if I can get a post graduate certificate which is for a two year course?

Will my HND + PGD still be a barrier?

1) Await a Response from the gurus for your wife's

2) In your Situation,

This is a suggestion

Why not link/combine your HND Microbiology and PG.D Criminology together and go for a Masters Degree Program that has research areas in FORENSIC CRIMINOLOGY, in which they use Science for Criminal Justice.

If you watch FBI FILES on Discovery Channel, YouTube, you would see how Forensic Criminologist/Scientist use Forensic Science with the touch of MICROBIOLOGY , Biochemistry to solve crime e.g Blood matching of a Criminal to confirm if they committed a crime or not, Fingerprints, DNA, Shoe Impression from a Criminal, Tire Impression from the Car of a Criminal, Testing the Semen deposit of a Sex Offender etc.

Google "professor of Forensic Criminology Canada" and put into action the contents/guides in the link below. That is, In order to secure a potential supervisor (prof.), take your time & go through the contents in the link below , relate it to your field/Research Interests and do your due diligence

https://www.nairaland.com/6567181/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/175#102878887

- You can go also go for a Masters in Criminology or Masters in Sociology , Canada.

If you are on TWITTER, in your best interest, consider searching for Olumuyiwa Igbalajobi, PH.D @olumuyiwaayo, he is a PostDoc fellow at the UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA (UBC), he has result oriented pinned posts on how to go about anything graduate school, most especially graduate opportunities (Fully-funded), be it Masters, PHD etc. Take your time to go through them and put it into action, you gonna bless the name of the lord you did so

Await more contributions and other response to your questions

Thank you so much. I have been looking forward to your reply.

Yes I follow igbalajobi on Twitter.

I will do some research based on your suggestions.

I am just afraid of my HND background. Hopefully, it won't be a problem.

Thank you very much.

You welcome.

Ok Good.

I don't think your HND background should be a problem. Since you alrdy have a PGD, you should have a good transition to Masters. Even in Nigeria, most HND holders have to go for a PG.D before they can do Masters.

A PG.D holder going for another PG program in Canada might likely not suffice, if that would happen, you would need to strongly convince a Visa Officer (VO) with very Cogent reasons why as PG.D holder you are going for another PG orogy instead of a Masters degree. Await more response from others.

Hello, house please is there any one who is studying in Cambrian college Ontario or who gained admission at Cambrian college Ontario? I just got pre admittance and have to pay deposit before I will be issued LOA. Pls house what's your recommendation pls
Yes, that's how it is done at Cambrian College, Sudbury, Ontario

Once you get the Conditional Letter of Acceptance (Pre-admittance), they would give you a deadline (like 25 to 30 days) to pay the Tuition deposit of $7,000 CAD to $8,000 CAD, failure to pay that deposit before the deadline, your Admission would be revoked, your seat will be annulled. Reason why they do this is cos, many applicants have different college options, so some applicants are not sure of the college they want yet, and the essence of that deadline after expiration is to make admission seats available for others who are really interested in the program and ready to pay the deposit.

Note that you can't use that Conditional Letter of Acceptance (Pre-admittance) to apply for a Study Visa, it is when you pay that tuition deposit you are going to be issued an Official Letter of Acceptance (LOA) you can use to apply for study visa.

For someone asking about PhD which is considered serious business, your question seems too vague. Sorry if I sounded too harsh, my apologies in advance!!

But if you want people to take you serious please you can do better. Please resend your enquiry with clearer details and you will get positive response(s).

I am particularly interested in responding to potential/prospective doctoral applicants because it could proof the easiest and cheapest way to Canada - am assuming they have good profile to get funded. Awaiting your questions all over please.

Thanks alot @Akan, I wanted a response like this before going into details.
I have an M.Sc in Medical Microbiology and Parasitology from the university of Calabar with CGPA of 4.2/5.0 and an Bachelors degree in Medical laboratory science CGPA of 3.7/5.0.
My research interests is on Molecular sequencing of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. I àlso have two scientific publications on reputable international journals of high impact level. Though I have done some other work on molecular diagnosis.
My question is, many at times one doesn't get response from prospective PhD supervisors who may have interest towards my research interests.
Infact which universities do you suggest are easier for one to get a PhD supervisor with funding. Thank you.

Good morning everyone! Pls my brother wants to study
Masters in Environmental Engr in Canada. He has a 2nd
class Upper (2.1) and work experience of 5 years in NESREA (an environmental govt agency). I
would like to inquire on the following;

1. Is it true that applicants must notify their undergraduate
university to send their transcript on behalf of the applicant
through WES (World Education Services) in order to apply
for Masters in any Canada universities?
If this is true, and although he already decided to inform his undergraduate university to send his academic transcript to the WES organization as well, how can he be able to contact an academic professor in a desired university for the aim of getting admission to embark on a Masters program ?

2. Pls which provinces or regions in Canada provides the best opportunities
for Masters applicants seeking to study Environmental
Engineering and at the same time be working ?

3. Which universities are the best option for my brother to
apply for Masters in Engineering?
4. Pls which Canadian universities offer less expensive tuition fee or
scholarships for Masters program in Environmental
engineering?

5. What are the requirements or conditions that must be met
to apply for both masters program and the student visa?
6. Pls is there any offer for post-study Work Permit in Canada?

7. My brother has a recommendation letter from his undergraduate university's academic affairs (not his own department). Is a recommendation letter(s) from undergraduate university a compulsory requirement? Must the recommendation letter be specifically from his department professor/lecturers or just academic affairs Head/Director ? Pls at what stage or point will this letter of recommendation be demanded for (if it is compulsory) - Is it required for applying for Masters admission or will it be demanded after admission is obtained?

8. Is it compulsory for my brother's SPONSOR (e.g Uncle/Aunt) to be a Nigerian citizen with a Nigerian bank account? Also, is there any specific eligibility for sponsors (sponsorship letter) especially if the sponsor of the Graduate program works or lives abroad (eg. USA)

9. Pls what are the next step that my brother is expected to take once he gets admission to a Canada university? What level or extent of Proof of Funds or bank statement for instance will be required from his sponsor?

10. My brother is looking forward to obtaining a Permanent
Residency permit in the future (even if it means proceeding to read a PhD in Engineering field), what further steps or process does he
need to know to partake in ?

11. What is the total cost for applying for a study visa ?
12. Pls if you have any advise to say concerning his desire in seeking to study Masters in Canada, I am ready to understand and learn.
Thanks

Frankrobbn1:

From the wisdom of my vast experiences dealing with several immigration applications to Canada, it is normal for IRCC to approve the principal applicant first before considering the other dependents. I have seen this happen on several occasions and have also observed first-hand a scenario whereby the spouse and the principal applicant were approved while the dependent children were denied. There is no blueprint that works for Canadian immigration processes and the format is not clearly spelled out by the authorities. As a result, should you keep sending emails to IRCC, they might not act fast on your family's application. The best practicable way of getting their attention to finalize processing of your family's application, is to reach out to a Member of Parliament (MP) within the jurisdiction where your school is situated in Canada. It was through the same means we were able to get the dependent children's application approved after a refusal as the visa officer was queried for his wrong assessment and the application was later changed from "refused" to "submitted" and at a subsequent time PPR was issued.

I would want to throw an intelligent question to you so as to broaden your expectations. Did you apply for a Spousal Open Work Permit (SOWP) for your husband? If yes, he will require a travel authorisation letter from IRCC to accompany you to Canada and there is a seperate IRCC email for this purpose. However, on the account that you've filed for a visitor's application for him, his application will not be processed following the Canadian immigration procedures on ground due to travel restrictions on non-essential travellers.

I hope this information is helpful to your enquiry. All the best with your family's application.

It will end in praise

I will like to know more about this @Frankrobbn1, I’ve sent you an email, kindly reply and let’s get in touch. Thanks.
