MightySparrow:The holy spirit is that active force which will help us identify an unrepentant wrongdoer, so once a person is no more following the arrangement he/she will stumble (just as any other person) but instead of humbly accepting his or her error he will start arguing against the same spirit that brought us together. So he or she will be shown the exit door! ![]() |

MightySparrow:Greek "holy spirit" is actually 'itself' , NOT himself. "Spirit itself" Romans 8:16,26 KJV. Greek pneuma ( "spirit" ) has no gender. Every Bible translators knows that. |

NO Sir it only reminds me of someone who is seriously deluded in the words of his own God, but always saying others who can prove and provide life evidence of their God are the ones living in delusion! ![]() MightySparrow: |

Kobojunkie:But you are instructing him or teaching him already. What you criticized now is what you just did. You just taught him now, don't you know? Why not let that holy spirit be the one to tell him all these, since He doesn't need man to teach others. Or does your Bro, be careful o |

hupernikao:Did Jesus Christ not send up to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of God as He has taught us to those who will hear? ![]() Is anything of what I have preached here not according to the Gospel of the Kingdom of God as revealed to us in the 4 Gospels? ![]() |
| Re: Is The Holy Spirit 'god?' by hupernikao: 10:48am On Jul 09, 2021 |
Kobojunkie:Yes, He sent. Same way he sent those you told the guy not to listen to. You want to be listened to but dont what others to listen to anyone in the name of "HolySpirit will teach you". Isnt that funny. You even quoted that Jesus sant you to teach. Yet claim, holy spirit is the one to teach. Your thoughts arent consistent. What you did to that guy was giving him instruction, teaching him the scriptures. But you said he shouldn't listen to anyone the Holy Spirit. I have told you before, that man will always be the vessel God uses for man, the one holy spirit will use for you to fulfil God's Will is man. So, you cant claim to be teaching others the scriptures and claim again that its only the Holy Spirit that teach and others should not be listen to. This is your most consistent contradiction on Nairaland. . |

hupernikao:The highlighted is a problem for all other religionists on Nairaland but not for JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES! We know that God's Holy Spirit will teach few people who will now teach others that's why we have a well organized and orderly group. But in the case where everyone wants to be taught directly by the spirit then disorder will set in! Luke 11:23 ![]() |

hupernikao:The OP asked a question that only God Himself is able to properly teach since Jesus Christ did not, in His Gospel, teach a lesson to explain the very nature of the relationship between the Spirit of God and the Father, and I told Him that God is the best Teacher in that case. ![]() Is it that you refuse acceptance of Jesus's own declaration that only those taught by the Father belong to Him? ![]() Or do you believe yourself wiser than Jesus Christ that you would think propagating the doctrines and traditions of men, a sin against God, would sufficiently cover for that which Jesus Christ did not teach ? |
| Re: Is The Holy Spirit 'god?' by hupernikao: 4:21pm On Jul 09, 2021 |
Janosky:This isn't true with Greek lexicon. In Greek as in most ancient languages, the Grammatical Gender Is Not the Same as Personal Gender. You have mixed the above up. Just like ruach (spirit) in Hebrew is feminine and masculine in Aramiac (these are languages used in writing the Bible). We can't use this grammatical gender to identify the gender personality. Those languages arent constructed like that. You will need to study Greek word structure and construction better. |

Kobojunkie:I have told you to always face the issue. Issue here is you are teaching a man, yet told him no man can teach him except the holy ghost. Have you become the holy ghost? Why teach him since it's only the spirit we should listen to not man. You consistently give a doctrine and teaching here, yet negate yourself daily claiming only the spirit that can teach. It's either you have taken the place of that spirit you speak of or you can't really see how wrong you are in claiming someone shouldn't listen to others but you (holy ghost) ![]() |

Janosky:Is there any sense in your analogy? God is a Spirit, angels are spirits: are there male or female spirits,? I don't think you need Greek, Hebrew, Hausa or Aramaic to explain that. Let me help you, what is the nature of spirits? |

ifiokjohn:1. Yes, He is. And you understand how, you have to understand who Jesus Christ explained to you that He, the Holy Spirit whom the Father would send — the seal of the New Covenant— is. ![]() In Scripture, beginning in the Old Testament, we learn the following about God : ▪︎ God is God of Wrath ▪︎ God is God of Laws ▪︎ God is Good/Righteous ▪︎ God is Faithful ▪︎ God is Love ▪︎ God is True (Word) ▪︎ God is Life ▪︎ All Wisdom, Knowledge, and Understanding are of God ..... And of Jesus Christ, we are informed by Him, particularly in John 14 vs 6, that He is ▪︎ God's Truth (Word) ▪︎ God's Life ▪︎ God's Law (one of many) aka The Way ..... Now, Jesus Christ also told us the following about the Helper the Father would send to all those who belong to Him, in John 14 vs 15 - 16 & John 14 vs 25 - 27 & John 15 vs 26 - 27 & John 16 vs 4 - 15 that Helper is... ▪︎ The Spirit of God's Truth (Word), the same Truth that lives inside of Jesus Christ 2. So, to recap Jesus Christ's teachings on the identity of the Holy Spirit aka the Spirit of Truth. a. The Father will send the Spirit of Truth aka the Helper in the Name of Jesus Christ to those who live their lives in submission and obedience to the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ. b. Those who live in the world cannot receive or have the Spirit of Truth because do not have the ability to see or perceive Him in their lack of knowledge(KNOWING) of the Truth of God, Jesus Christ. c. The Helper, the Spirit of Truth, will teach the followers of Jesus Christ all things and bring to their remembrance all that Jesus Christ has taught. d. The Helper, the Spirit of Truth, will bear witness about Jesus Christ to each of Jesus's own followers. e. The Helper, the Spirit of Truth, will convict those who are in the world regarding sin, righteousness, and judgment. f. The Helper, the Spirit of Truth, will guide each one of Jesus Christ's followers into all Truth for He will only speak of that which He hears of Jesus Christ and declare that which is to come concerning Jesus Christ(and His Kingdom) g. The Helper, the Spirit of Truth, will glorify Jesus Christ, for He will take what belongs to Jesus Christ to declare to each of His followers h. All that the Father has belongs to Jesus Christ and as such the Helper will teach to Jesus Christ's followers only that which is of Jesus Christ. In conclusion, yes, Holy Spirit is God. However, given that the Holy Spirit doesn't possess all of the essences of Jesus Christ or of God, the Father, all inside of His person, He, the Holy Spirit, is not God, the Father. ![]() |
