Hmmnnnn. I found this post about Gtb somewhat strange.
I have been using GtB ussd and internet banking with almost no glitch. Also, I don't have any problem whatsoever withdrawing via POS, ATM, others. My only issue is with the transaction alerts that don't arrive realtime sometimes.

Presently I can't even access my access bank app. The most useless of the uselessed

I once loved this bank that you will think that I am the owner or a shareholder.
I practically forced 5 members of my family to open an account with them.
I once on a particular day, worked free of charge for the bank just for the love I have.
But recently you will notice some frustrations they to their customers,sometimes while walking out of the bank,I look back to check if it was the same GTBank or maybe I was in first bank or diamond bank?
To think that they once won the best customers friendly bank some years back.
They'd better sit up.I still love them though.

BANK STAFF are of three categories1 permanent staff 2 contract staff 3 IT staff Out of the 3 those in no 1 category are very few .They may not be more than 5 or 4 in a bank .Those in category 2 are many and are used as slaves in banks.They cqn be sacked at any time even when they work tiredlesslessly.Additionally they are given peanuts monthly.As for those in category 3 they are just engaged to assist with peanuts they collect monthly The truth is 80 percentage of bank staff are looking for job every day especially in their marketing unit. Instead of employing people with adequate remuneration the bank management resort to recruiting firms for cheap labour.With poor job satisfaction bank sector will continue to be understaffed in Nigeria with concomitant poor service always

Exactly my thought. I have a very active business account with GT Bank and I have not experienced any issue of the magnitude described above.

There may be glitches on occasions but the issues are normally rectified in a good time. As far as I am concerned, it is one of the banks that have an elaborate and developed IT in Nigeria

Abi is it a case of their refusal to sheepishly pay Innoson a dubiously obtained judgement debt?

GTBank used to be my favourite bank until recently when I tried to complete a transaction with an OTP. Kai! I tried it four times before I cancelled the transaction. After a period of time, I received 4 OTP.
Secondly, there are days you will have to wait for Credit alerts like forever. Until you check your balance and they deduct the #10 charge, you will not know if the money is there.
Thirdly, I receive other debit alerts on my phone except the monthly deduction which they prefer to notify me via email.
The worst of all is the attached to this comment. How can GTBank send me same message 4 times in every week and I pay for the SMS at the end of the month?

What a gwan ndi GTB? Since their crisis with Innoson Motor, GTB has been tottering from one banking crisis to another.Their mobile banking app too has not helped matter.

GTB didn't know Innoson is a confirmed Nwa Chinekeee and went and incurred d wrath of chukwu okike abiama

Gtbank still remains my most preffered bank despite their everyday long queue and bad network unlike FirstBank ATM machine that stole my last 1k 6yrs ago and swallowed my ATM card last year during lockdown

Active with 3 naija banks but trust my GTBank the most. Hope this is just surface level issues they can fix.

Many ICT staff are relocating to Canada where their services are much needed and where they'll be better appreciated.

GTB is also understaffed.

I have been using GTBANK since 2009, the only issue i have with them of recent is late transaction alert.

That bank with long queues from Monday to Friday. The people are beginning to realize that the workload that comes with banking job is not in anyway worth the pay. Frustrated staffs covered in suits inside the AC with alot of sexual harassment especially for the ladies.
