I use GT bank mobile App everyday for several transactions and I've never experience any of this error mention.

Don't mind them, It is a planned attack on GTB. I have several friends I have stopped giving them my GTB account number for transactions because of their planned concentrated hatred and attacks on GTB. Instead I give them Access, Zenith or Keystone.

They will always tell me the account is not going. One accused me few years back that we were instructed to open GTB account. My very good friend selling telecom products at a popular market, Ojo, Lagos is one of them. Surprisingly, one day, I noticed his wife had a GTB account. The wife told me to be giving him other accounts and she told me the reason.

Agreed. GT Bank should work on services improvement , but the attacks are calculated attempt to tarnish the image of the Bank.
Lol I think other banks are just envious of them because they have too many customers if not even the highest customer base. They attract customers organically without spending millions on adverts like the rest do.

Moreso GTB branches also have the best asthetics when it comes to their structural designs. I rarely enter banking halls but each time I visit any GTBank branch I notice the banking halls are always crowded. It's easy to see why their staff are overwhelmed and why they need to restrategize operations.

Instead of moving applications from server to server during month end surge, migrate to a cloud platform like AWS. You can scale in and out in minutes based on demand, and you pay for only what you use.

Gtbank should call me for consulting on migrating somen their critical apps to cloud.

I hope this is not someone trying to tarnish the image of the bank.

We have many accounts with GT, I thought GT was useless till I tried UBA and zenith.

It's a Nigerian problem... they need to upgrade their software
sounds like a product of semi-automation of tasks and scalability issue of their IT strength. They said the system always collapsed towards month end when transactions are more.

Gtbank is getting it wrong. Customer service in the banking halls is zero. Customers stand for hours before being attended to.

Their staff are overworked and they refuse to employ more staff even when the bank is making money.

The last time I was in one of their banking halls, I spent over two hours and decided there and then that the suffering was enough. I simply transferred all my balances to another bank. There is no point closing accounts anymore. Just transferr your entire balance to another bank.

By the way, only a handful of banks in Nigeria have good customer service.
Imagine the useless customer service asked me to go to d branch (Lagos) I opened my account to request for ATM card. I jejely withdrew everything over the counter and abandoned the account.

Me travel from Delta to Lagos BC of ATM. They are mad

I'm a bit shocked coz since have started using gtb bank app, I haven't experienced any of such cases compared to other banks app.

I've always wondered at the hype. GTB is one bank I will never use. I'd rather save my money in a piggy box than GTB

Honestly I quite surprised to see all these.

Even the first half of the year which the blog referenced, I conducted transfers into the millions with app and have had very very few issues. In cases of failure, almost instantly I get a reversal or at most within a few hours.

However few points I agree with:
1. Crowd:Yes, thier banking hall can be quite crowded, but applies to almost all banks this period.
2. Airtime loading failure: definitely yes, this is a big issue with their app. As a rule I never use thier app to load airtime.

Lol! E shock me too. Moreover I have many colleagues using the app, and have not really had complains from them

No wonder I haven't been able to make transfers using GT and Access bank App. Failures here and there.

Nah bro that's a big lie. Zenith & UBA are way better than GTB in every way. I don't understand the yardstick you compared that useless GTB with these ones. GTB online service during the March-May period was even worse than that of Union & FCMB. Its not any better till date tbh.

Not just gtbank

Even fcmb has that issue of not sending credit alerts on time and also getting debited for failed transactions and not getting reverts

Maybe Gt's of is worse.

Anyways Iphones available in the link below
Please patronise me!

My brother, it is not only GTB, Zenith too does not reverse failed transaction most especially card recharge, electricity payment and paid tv subscription. I had experience with all this and all attempt to get the reversal done has been abortive.
So far, I can say thank you to first Bank when it comes to online banking but please don't go to their banking hall for anything, I mean anything otherwise you will want to close your account immediately.
The long and short of my story is that almost all Nigerian banks are guilty of failing customer service

How do you prove the second part of the last sentence?
as a smarsher, you should know better. Well, I dated a lady who had to resign because of this shit. She wrote even to the head office to complain but a man called her on the phone and told her that those are some of the things she needs to endure. Afterwards, it was quarry upon quarry untill she resigned
