I wonder why people are trying to discourage others from getting visas into SA with Xenophobic attacks. The South Africans frown at immigrants coming into the country without contributing meaningfully to their country. I wonder how many doctors, engineers or lecturers are being affected by Xenophobia. Why would you want to relocate to somewhere like SA, country battling with unemployment and go and "hustle". You must have a good reason to live in SA. You should understand the nomenclature of SA before going to SA to reside. Asides being a professional, there is no point going to SA to reside, or you are a major investor. You as a foreigner have no business living in some townships or suburbs. A lot of Nigerians perpetuate so much evil in South Africa lik drugs, human trafficking etc. 90% of prostitutes on long street at nights are Nigerians, Nigerians shouldn't do that. I have been approached to rent a property so that young girls in the townships can live there and prostitute. The average educated South African respect the Nigerian who is responsible and have s professional job/career in SA. If you must relocate, try and be in the STEM field i.e Science, Technology, Engineering or Medicine. That is what the economy needs. Don't go there to marry their people and you don't have viable profession. If you must marry, marry out of genuine reasons and don't use your partner for immigration purposes.

What the fuckery are you saying... plz just tell me where the Nigerian prostitutes are so I can go there n patronize my sis..
Just stop saying rubbish jor...
Go to diplomat hotel in joburg n tell me if u will find a Nigerian lady hustling there

Please when did you apply?
Its better you have a re-look at all the documents submitted and find out which of them might lack credibility or might not be coherent with other document. Appealing is possible but will take forever to come out with no guarantee that their decision will be overturned.
After finding the issue with your documents, you can definitely re-apply. Good luck.

Good day every one.
Pls I need your help.
Is it good to make an appeal to the Consulate General after your visa application is denialed?
If yes, please how do I go about it? Do I have to book appointment with VSF again or I should just go there?

Pls help me.
I just received my passport yesterday and visa was denialed on the ground that "documents lack credibility". No particular document was mentioned.
They also said I can make a written representation to the Consulate via VFS within 10 working days. Pls I need advice.
I applied for a visiting visa proposed June 28 to July 15

Thanks

What are you all looking for in south Africa??
Work dey there??
I'm seriously confused. Maybe it's a tourist visa, then fair play as I hear South Africa is beautiful, if not.........
Definitely, the impacts of covid 19 have affected most economies of the world, including South Africa. Getting a job is now challenging compare to before. However, people are getting jobs provided you have the needed skills and work visa, not CERTIFICATE. I know someone who got a job last week as a CCTV technician. If you have hand work you will survive without much stress. Jobs like IT expert , software engineer , technicians and so on are always available. If you can solve problems you will be employe or self employed though it may take the process time. But if you are looking for office jobs , with just certificates with no practical skills please forget it .Your ability to solve PROBLEMS will give you job or earning income .

Looting and destruction have always been part of SA protests ,criminal elements will always take advantage. Nigerians and other immigrants should have researched about such things before coming here ,the same way we know better than not hiring private security to walk around certain places in Nigeria ( for fear of being kidnapped as a foreigner ).

And this protest is designed for destroying the businesses of the elite ( Ramaphosa's allies) ,and your Nigerians are simply collateral damage ( the dangers of being a foreigner in struggling communities ) . I bet the ones who live where they should be living ( surbubs) aren't worried wink. Learn !!!

LMFAO, I told you ,you're being emotional and irrational but you will be fine grin.

Go back 3 pages back on this thread ,and read what I said; if you go into a developing country with it's own issues ,live and open businesses in struggling and volatile communities you will be met with problems like this. The surbubs are there for real investors who pay taxes and they're relaxed ,the same way SA businesses choose carefully in your country where to open businesses wink.

And last time I checked Nigerians dont live in townships grin. Jeppe,Hiilbrow and other surrounding areas are known lawless communities ,why would a sane ,legit investor trade there ? cheesy. This won't be the last time this will happen ,the sooner you guys learn the better.

You're correct, hence I admitted in the beginning that SA protests have always been hijacked by such elements ( who will target the weak) . This has been going on since the 70s and it wont end anytime soon because powerful people politicise and use it to their advantage. And like I said in previous pages, people should understand the vices and history of where they intend migrating to and not just go with the flow or live where they think they could get away easily with certain vices , it never ends well.

We never loot shops during a nationwide protest. That's callous. But you guys any protest, you go about looting meaning you guys are hungry and poor and can't even afford the items found in the mall.
The man's car complex was at Jules , yet you said only foreign investment in townships are affected.A Nigerian woman boutique was raided at Durban , you guys even stole her hangers grin I love how you guys are destroying yourselves with your hands , you'll soon be at the same level with Burundi, Tanzania and the rest of Africa soon .
