To my own knowledge, once they are through with his documents verification, the will send either approval mail for your visa or other wise to Lagos. Then the embassy will now contact you. The duration depends on how much documents the have on their desk maybe 1 or 2 months or even lesser depending. Just be very prayerful at this stage. Hope they are done with all your documents verification before contacting him?. Good luck

I booked June 2020, I have gone for my interview

Please I am a work permit holder in Germany, while my wife just got a Schengen student visa through Poland. We have a 2-week old baby, and we would like to apply for a visa for him to join us but we don't know how to go about it. Any advise on how to go about it would be greatly appreciated.

Please N/L I was denied since 2months and their decision why they denied me was all lies . I and my fiancé sued them at the administrative court (Verwaltungsgericht) in Berlin. Please I want to know , anyone has an idea when the court can make a decision regarding my visa and is there a chance that we can win it .

Just continue to track dhl, once it leaves German Consulate, u will recieve a text message provided u filled to recieve text msg on dhl app...

Did u mention u sued them or u appealed?..
Normally they should get back to you within one month but cos of covid 19, it might take...

March 2021, Request to put some money in a blocked account just like a student does. (Over €10k)

April 2021, Request for my wife to put money in another blocked account (more than what I blocked) which will cater for her and the two kids for a year...

May 2021... Visa Approval from Immigration Office in Germany

June 2021...to submit Insurance/passport

Has anyone here applied for family reunion from another country or does anyone has a knowledge of how it works? I applied from the UK and I just wanted to know if the steps are similar.
Also, I doubt they do the lawyer verification stuff cos of the document required on their website.

It's a little over a month I applied now. About a week ago, I sent an email to them to know the status of the application, their response was that the application is currently pending with the Berlin immigration office.

Would be nice to know if anyone has applied outside Nigeria or has a knowledge of how it works and the time line involved.

In my knowledge and what I observed so far.
After interview , visa processing takes 4-6 months depending on your situation. Cos everyone's problem varies, some might go through resubmitting of some ducuments while others may not. Again documents of ones spouse in Germany also matters alot. If your spouse has a valid documents, lives in an apartment that meets their standard and earns very well, then there is high hope.

I understand that since the documents you are using to support your application are issued from Nigeria, they are most likely to send a lawyer for verification.
Germany like most other countries don’t trust anything from Nigeria.
They will check the neighborhood you grew up from and schools attended just to prove your identity.

8 days (6 working days + weekend)

but 3 of those days were "Transport days". If you stay in Lagos, it should take 5 days or less since you've essentially cut out the extra days for transporting your documents

My spouse applied for the reunion Visa from an Arab country, it's been almost 2 Months ago and he hasn'treceived any reply yet. There has been no reference for a verification of marriage by a lawyer thus far. We are still impatiently waiting on a feedback from them.

For language reasons which is a major issue in Germany, I would advice the UK. Haven been in Germany for about 2 months, I can say it’s not easy for people who don’t have comprehensive knowledge of German or don’t anyone who do.
As all paper work done here are in German language.
