Few hours ago, the Federal Road safety corps announced it's 2021 recruitment. How' is the age discrimination? It's as bright as daylight.

There's no hope in this country. Just imagine.. See when most of us graduated but no job till now. They expect us to be getting younger?

Even disability discrimination

Those of you quoting me and justifying the exclusion of persons with disabilities in the recruitment, let me respond to you all.

-Has it occurred to you that someone with a physical disability still has a good functioning brain?

-Do you realize that having a deaf person in every unit of the FRSC is an added advantage for the corps? Let's say the FRSC officers stop a deaf driver, how'd they communicate with him? A deaf officer(or trained SLI) can come in here and do the magic.

- Do you know that there are person's with disabilities who are computer and tech gurus? They can be recruited to man the desks and computers in the offices of the FRSC.

- Why are there Paralympian sportsmen and women, but there can't be in the FRSC?

- Do you also know that the Disability Act stipulates that for any recruitment into government agencies, 5% of slots are to be for persons with disabilities?

Check for DISABILITY RIGHTS ADVOCACY CENTER on Google, and IRENE PATRICK-OGBOGU.

Lol... I don't even know what to say. Even in countries where people didn't fight wars to graduate, recruitment age allowance for most jobs is 40, even for military and paramilitary.

Here in Nigeria where so many people faced so much challenge, you screen them out based on age and you ask them not to go into fraud and other vices when they can't even work cos they are above 30.

I think we need new labour laws cos this is just too bad.

A lot of private employers are now demanding for 26 yrs max, with experience, as if everyone graduated as teenagers. cheesy grin

This is Nigeria where employment issues are never taken serious despite millions of persons being unemployed.

They will peg the employment age to 30 or 35years but a 70 to 80 years old man still rule over us, while another standing by!

This is sh!t is still happening in Nigeria in an era where companies around the world always put disclaimers in their job adverts stating that : 'We do not discriminate based on age, gender and origin'. Nigeria is taking several steps backwards while other countries are moving forward. I will never regret leaving this country.

This is one of the evil vices that we have to put a stop to in this nation.
This has been going on for over 40 years as a nation,
The time to put a stop to this bs is NOW!

In Saner climes, things are never done this way.
Overseas, you will see things like "We do not discriminate based on age, gender and origin''

Abroad, the organization or company will be dealt with if anything like this happens,
They have rules and regulations guiding the applicant,

Age discrimination involves treating an applicant or employee less favorably because of his or her age. The Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) forbids age discrimination against people who are age 40 or older.

This is against the Nigeria of our dreams,
everyone should be given an equal chance when it comes to employment.

One day soon, we will get there.

God help Nigeria.

We Rise.

So na during Buhari regime this rubbish about age too start?
If you wanna criticize, why not use what God has given you in abundance?
(we are very sure you have it in abundance, cos we know you are an intelligent and brilliant young lady, due to most of your posts here),
People take members that criticize accordingly seriously on this forum (those are the good citizens of Nigeria),
not those that criticize 24/7 on everything in their lives (those are the ones we call wailing zombies).
Nobody takes them serious, cos replying such nuisances is only a waste of time and space.
They are the ones that will read about Boko Haram killing our soldiers and you see them happy and start jubilating, but see the pain and bitterness from their posts when they read about our soldiers killing these evil Boko Haram, you will see them typing, where are the pictures, then you show them pictures, their wailing changed to 'no, we want videos', then show them videos, they scratched their empty vessel head and say, "it is photo and video shop jor"!
Those are the ones people see as unfortunate human pigs.
And we are 101% sure that you are not and can never be part of those pessimistic souls, never!

So, Don't be a wailing zombie dearie.
#BeLikeOmotola , she criticize and hit the nail on the head!

Criticize constructively like dem Omotola Omosexy!
Our Kobo!
