They can't do noting to you... I collected loan of 8000 to pay 10400 from them and in the process my phone lost. D 2400 interest was to be paid in 7days. After one month I bought a new phone and did welcome back and realised they have sent messages to my contacts weeks ago. I got annoyed and finally when they call, I told them that before I pay them, they should call all my contacts and tell them it was a mistake.. I even told them they are thieves collecting huge interests on in short period.. They said they will forward my name to legal teams.. I also got mails from them and now my default is about N54700. I'm still waiting to go to court

Mine was similar a little bit to yours but i paid through my nose. My repayment date was to be due in 3 days. I did payment via gtbank ussd but the payment hanged in the air until the date due. I called and explain to them and also send proof but rather. They accumulated default fee against me for 2 weeks. I borrowed 12k to pay 15.5k. After gtbank reverse my money after 2 weeks. I ended up paying Palmcredit 25k loan+default fee. Very anonying. Since then i learn to stay always stay from Nigerian loan apps after watching this youtube video explanning how this Nigerian loan companies works and traps Nigerians into debt. You too should watch it to get sense and stop patronising loan apps.

Ofadaman:

It's not advisable to do so for two reasons

1) If the loan is still open they'd give you a negative credit report that you are defaulting on a loan, this will make it harder for you to access loans from other loan companies , and sometimes some employers like banks ask you for your credit report before employment if it's bad they'd not employ you (CBN rule), plus if you manage to clear it, your credit report has been ruined and you can only access loans from few companies at very high rate.

2) They have your contacts, this sad bit of it is that they can embarrass you by sending to all your contacts that you are owing them money.
This will affect your social capital and may cause harm to your reputation.
They can't report any shit, they ain't license to do that, those guys own more than 9apps each with different names on playstore while their friends and relatives own more,if u default on one dey send ur details to their other colleagues operating other apps that way u won't get loans from them. Take it from someone who knows how they operate and still collecting from newer apps as Dem dey enter playstore and those not even in play store without paying due to wat dey did to me.

For your information, I am not an Agent.
If you're a chronic debtor, you should be really ashamed of yourself.
Give yourself some slack and stop embarrassing yourself Upandan on Nairaland.
If you have a problem with Loan agents, go and look for them in their houses stop making a fool of yourself on nairaland.
Nobody forced you to borrow money from them, you did by yourself even knowing the implications and now you're looking for whom to pour your frustration on.
If you're that credit worthy, why couldn't friends and family help you in times of need. The reason is not far fetched. It's very glaring that you can't be trusted with money.

Please I need assistance

Write a disclaimer message to your contacts that some people are blackmailing you and wants to ruin your reputation, they should ignore anyone that calls or texts them because such person is a fraudster.they should block and never send money to anyone.

People like this are reasons a loan app will treat you with disdain even if you have genuine intentions of paying back.

Avoid loan apps or end up with the criminal treatment. Evil people have taught them a lesson. Loan apps are basically for criminally minded people like this guy nowadays. So if you're not a criminal, don't go down that route at all

My advise is that you should stop bordering yourself. Ensure you pay the principal and interest as agreed. Then bloc your ATM card or use another account. They will update it Credit Bureau for awhile the write it off later.

The only thing is they won't lend to you again until you pay the deficit.

There are other loan app with a more friendly customer service try MONEE and CARBON

I am not satisfied with the way this company operate.

Who has experience such?

I took a loan of 11,000 to repay in a week time with interest on 21/06/2021 as due date. I tried repaying on the app even before the due date but it wasn't successful. The app is stagnant and give pending note. All efforts to reach their customer care was abortive. Still yet default charges keep increasing.

After few days a collection officer of the company with this number (+234 701 743 3849) started sending me threat messages to pay up. I explained to him what I have been experiencing. I paid the loan amount and initial interest rate by bank transfer. I sent him proof of payment and was cleared not default charges remained.

He said I still have to pay for default. I said I can not pay for default because the fault is not mine as their app was not accepting payment. That they should fix their app. The following day I paid using fist monie pos and sent him proof of payment. He said it will be cleared. Up till now it has not been cleared. Default charges keep accumulating after 2 weeks of payment.

Only to remind him to clear the default payment this morning and he blocked me on whatsApp. I called him on regular call and he said the company is not his father's company and that do I want him to block me again on call.

This is not fair at all. I feel cheated.

PalmCredit is the worst ever.
They ate my money twice.
