Bad news, Hope Uzodinma should expedite action, with his contact at the supreme court.
We can't afford to lose this battle.

Fully reconstructed now

Mehn, that's a big kudos to Hope. The before and after picture of that road alone will definitely win sympathisers

For what you say in the second paragraph to kick off fully, Owerri needs DIRECT access to the outside world! Sam Mbakwe airport needs to serve a few international routes!

Sam Mbakwe needs a good road to even service it first of all... Not the badly damaged Owerri-Umuahia road

The supreme court has fixed September 21 for the hearing of the substantive suit.

In 2020, Rivers state won a boundary dispute involving the return of the Soku oil fields from Bayelsa state.

That date (September 21st) is a long time and Mary Odili is still a huge threat. Rivers even won its boundary dispute with Bayelsa. shocked

The problem with Imo people is the "Ala wu otu" issue. If all Igbo state can start investing heavily in their homseland the way Anambra people are doing, the east will be an envy in 20 years time.
Just like Anambra is the envy of all nations... Pls, keep that leg somewhere

Taking them down has been ruled out, the formation is standard but the super structure is stressed, so reconstruction is been proposed, RCC is been considered for the job, because there designed the flyovers during ohakims regime.

Imo state won at the boundary commission, so it is expected as usual that the other state would always put up some form of resistance, in this case, rivers state took the case to supreme court for stay of execution.

Do you mean that 43 oil wells are already in the bag( 22 from Mgbede and 21 from Akri)?, So these 17 oil wells in contention will be additional that will make 60 oil wells altogether?

This news is not clear at all. What was returned to Imo State was 43 oil Wells and not 17. So, I want to know, this 17 oil wells is it part of the 43 earlier returned to Imo State or a different one?

Again, this is something that affects the entire state, and not just the governor.

Good development at the part in bold. I wonder why anyone would advocate for structures that cost Imo State billions of naira to be demolished, that's retrogressive!! The best thing any progressive minded person or government should advocate for is how to reconstruct such structures and make them durable.

Rochas had good ideas like widening of roads, opening up of new areas and removal of major markets from center of town to the suburbs but he rubbished everything with his crassly mediocre and substandard works. He ended up wasting billions of Imo State money!!

Lastly, why on earth is Hope Uzodinma building those 1920 type of shops in the same Eke Onuwa market Rochas demolished? If a market must be built there again, why not something modern? Are we going forward or backwards? If Umahi can build modern markets in Abakiliki, then why can't Uzodinma build even better ones considering that Imo State is far reacher and more developed than Ebonyi? I'm always filled with disgust each time I'm driving past that congested Douglas and I see that miserable structure being built.

Shame!!

Lol, Mary Odili threat to Rivers or Imo State? It may interest you to know that Mary Odili is from Mbaise, Imo State even though married to Odili from Ndoni. If you know how much women value their place of origin then I doubt she will want to sabotage her own origin in favour of a heterogeneous state like Rivers.

This is not the first time Rivers State is losing oil wells that were wrongly accredited to them. They've lost against Abia, Bayelsa and even Imo State before now and they've lost this time too.

Abia hasn't recovered her oil wells from Rivers. The imo river basin is still mostly in Rivers control.

Rochas owns a large scale farm at ohaji, owns a large scale of Owerri real estate market, plus exotic stores and supermarket, hotel. Apart from the fact that he influenced a lot of people to invest in Owerri hospitality industry.
Till date did you know that Rochas is about to open a mall at onitsha road?, at former Rochas foundation, including a television station at reach fm.

It appears wherever the rogue of former governor of Imo State wants to acquire real estate in Imo State, the gimmick was to use "Rochas foundation" as frontal. Rochas Okorocha is the most corrupt-minded governor who had ever led Imo State. If I had to decide the fate of the dingbat, he will never gain day in his sorry life. Same goes to the current efulefu at the helm of Imo State.

I'm not talking about Obigbo areas that was taken from Abia and given to Rivers after the war. I'm talking about some marginal oil fields that was handed back to Abia state some years back.

You could not be more correct with the bolded. However the dumbass fools are busy talking about imaginary silly restructure without substance. Most Igbo people in diaspora do not want to fly into Nigeria via Lagos or Abuja. They prefer Enugu, Owerri or even Igweocha (Port Harcourt) to Lagos or Abuja.
