Why can't we manufacture these aircraft ourselves. Why do we need other countries help. This is why Nigeria government love the most industrious tribe in the country, but they won't say it, but want to make Fulani land by force before they encourage the people.

And, please, I'm a Ghanaian lady, ain't being tribalistic in any way, just speaking fact. smiley

A dedicated ground attack plane that is one of the best for counterinsurgency and the US is currently considering to get in large numbers is what empty barrels are calling toy and outdated.

But can't Nigeria afford an F16 at least?

They wont sell it to Nigeria. They dont sell their planes to everyone.

F16 can't do what A 29 super tucano will do. In fighting insurgents or terrorists this works better. With all the super war planes that America has, none worked effectively against ISIS until they brought in super tucano.

Truth be told Buhari is trying (just like Jonathan before him and yaradua before him - this I have realised). But you see us Nigerians we are the enemies of ourselves (Nigeria).
How do you explain the fake drugs, fake school certificates, substandard work by contractors, bribe collecting civil servants at the expense of their jobs, sex for grade Lecturers, grade for sex/money students and the list of our vices is long and ever growing with the passage of time
in customer service it takes 12 other good experiences to wipe out one bad experience. Now equate this to where lives matter. I mean, life and desth. Buhari has done more damage than Good that would take 12 lifetimes to resolve

We don't need fast flying, high altitude, sophisticated jet like F16 for counter insurgency.

FG should deployed the 6 aircraft to South East first.

After destroying ESN and all Ipob they can take it to the North.

Our SE can never be a terorists region. Destroying ESN and Ipob is all we want right now.

Ipob are terorists

To all those ignorant folks on this thread, kindly and do research on the A29 super Tucano and the main job it was built for. It's the best COIN aircraft out there. You can't use an F16 or F32 to fight counter-insurgency wars. It's just too fast for that purpose.
