How do you explain the fake drugs, fake school certificates, substandard work by contractors, bribe collecting civil servants at the expense of their jobs, sex for grade Lecturers, grade for sex/money students and the list of our vices is long and ever growing with the passage of time
Buhari has two mortal sins: nepotism and support for terrorism

But can't Nigeria afford an F16 at least?

I wonder oh. They'd rather embezzle millions than buy quality fighter jets. This jets looks like the ones used in World War 1.

Even poor Pakistan makes an imitation of F16. If Boko Haram have anti aircraft guns, won't they shoot these jets down?

Do you know how long it took to convince the Congress to approve the sale of this super tucano, let alone F16 ?

They won't sell that to Nigeria

Real military plane below.

$200,000,000 dollars and maintenance cost is $1,000,000 dollars per mission. Be honest with yourself, can Nigeria afford such and how many countries can afford such too

Even if we can, I doubt very much that they will sell to us.

Warplanes aren't gotten off the shelf. There are a whole lot of diplomatic maneuvers involved in their procurement. See how many years it took us to get this set of Tucanos delivered even though Nigeria had to pay way above the regular market price and 100% upfront for them.

In this day and age, it’s a shame that this country is still using aircrafts that are already consigned to museums in other nations.
Shame on this retrogressive leadership

Nigeria does not have that kind of money to by some F16 in the first place, even if we do I don't think the US will sell to us.These jets are the only thing I appreciated Trump for, he wasn't following any law he sold those Tuscano jets to us easily.Buhari rushed with speed to pay over $482m for 12 of those super Tuscano before he changes his mind.Obama didn't let us buy arms from them through out his tenure because of Leahy's law. They said our soldiers violates human rights.

Buhari is trying? Thunder fire you? He turns a blind eye as his kinsmen kill with impunity. He marginalizes parts of the country. He oppresses us and denies us freedom of speech. He is quick to send his condolences to other countries when disaster befalls them, but won't show same concern when Nigerians are needlessly killed.

How is Buhari trying?

F16 can't do what A 29 super tucano will do. In fighting insurgents or terrorists this works better. With all the super war planes that America has, none worked effectively against ISIS until they brought in super tucano.

Eh you can lie for Africa Mr man. undecided

A-10, drones and other attack aircraft are there yet you want us to believe this Brazilian plane was what Americans needed?

ISIS is not destroyed because of politics not aircraft.
