Not sure if any of the Spanish contingent will show up due to pre-season training. I also will be surprised if Ashleigh shows up, as the Leicester pre-season is in session. Ariyo just moved to a new club, so I did not expect her to be a part of this training, not to mention her club's pre-season. Onumonu is a key starter for FC Gotham, so I did not expect that she will be here - club will not release her. Glad that Zogg and Nicole Payne are present. Ini-Abasi we have seen in the past and frankly, not particularly sure what value she would offer. Last I saw Ebere Orji play, she wasn't impressive. Hopefully, she has improved, but wouldn't hold my breath. No need to talk about Oparanozie. Surprised that perhaps, the two best HB players in the summer series (Viv Ikechukwu and Tosin Demehin) are absent, but the poor performers like the Ogbonnas are here. Shocking! Schemerkhiz: |

Well, same was said about Regina Otu of FC Minsk, right? Schemerkhiz: |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 6:15pm On Jul 15, 2021 |
AkinDS:Yes her name was on the List alongside Onome Ebi but Club wouldn't release them cause it's not a FIFA Free Window except for teams participating in the Olympic game's... Minsk FK is currently 2nd and would love to secure a Champions League slot, both player's are very important for their Clubside... |

Understand that fully. However, similar argument could be made for Leicester FC women, as they only got promoted into the Super league and would like to be prepared to make a solid start to the season. That's why pre-seasons are so important for teams, as well as their key players. Anyhow, we are speculating here. Let's see if she shows up in camp. Schemerkhiz: |

Nicole is one of those versatile defenders that can play on either side of the pitch. Not to mention she has pace to burn, which is what you want in a full back. She is young and I think she can grow into becoming a valuable member of the team. And she is certainly no worse that the two Ogbonnas girls who I have previously commented on... JohnBullMySon: |

Understand. Will see. And please DELETE that 'info' about her travel plans ASAP, before those media thieves steal and publicize it. Schemerkhiz: |

AkinDS:What's there to steal? It isn't a document. Any media house that posts that is really stupid. Anyone can do a fake one. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AkinDS: 7:13pm On Jul 15, 2021 |
They take the information and pass it off as theirs. Nigerian media outlets are notorious for doing just that. JohnBullMySon: |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by JohnBullMySon: 7:15pm On Jul 15, 2021 |
Schemerkhiz:I'd asked you earlier if we were playing any game, you didn't respond. I haven't seen or heard anything about an upcoming fixture. So is the camp to be just for training and to prosecute a civil war? |

Schemerkhiz:... Delete message sent to you by Ashleighs father, imo, i feel like that can be a bridge of trust. You have nothing to prove, if she shows up fine, if not fine... |

carbonado:I have nothing to prove but I'm just letting him know that whatever I put on here isn't just from me but from the Main source and those concerned as a whole.. If there be any changes, it must be a last minute something |

JohnBullMySon:Abeg i tire, e nor easy Randy said they were trying to arrange one but I'm not certain yet if the arrangement have been made.. Could be Austria National Team?? |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 10:22pm On Jul 15, 2021 |
isan:No big threat from any of them... Ngozi Okobi have got the advantage ahead of them including T Payne.. T Payne is very good but lake that final third pass which Okobi does better within a blink of an eye.. By the way T Payne is one of Randy Waldrum favourite in the team, she won't be lacking playing time at all because she could fit in any position upfront even as a wing back which Okobi can also do.. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by JohnBullMySon: 11:04pm On Jul 15, 2021 |
Schemerkhiz:You're trying bro. You're the heartbeat of the thread. I hope they get a team to play. Training just like that isn't enough. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 11:52pm On Jul 15, 2021 |
Okobi has lost her touch she doesn't have those splitting pass anymore , she played the wing back way too much and didn't make her progress as an Attacking midfielder , dennerby was benching her for ajibade at 2018 Awcon opener , T payne is far better than okobi atleast on current form Schemerkhiz: |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by CoolJulian: 12:27am On Jul 16, 2021 |
AkinDS:But she has not achieved anything. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AkinDS: 12:31am On Jul 16, 2021 |
Those were my observations too. Even at her club Eskilstuna United in Sweden, she was pretty much a bench warmer for most of the season, coming in on occasion for Halimat Ayinde. To be frank, she seems to have regressed a bit, not being as sharp on the ball and tends to overdo things, dribbling unnecessarily and losing the ball (same with Ordega). Like I said previously, I love the massive influx of other quality ladies in the team. Hopefully, this will provide stiff competition for those who are dinosaurs on the team and those found wanting can be rooted out. Nigerians need to be aware that the women's game globally has become significantly more competitive and we really need fresh players on the team who are quicker and smarter on the ball, not people who want to 'show' they are big girls by trying to dribble the whole team every time they get the ball (Ordega, Okobi and Oparanozie). isan: |

Had Michelle Alozie achieved anything before her performance at the Summer Series? Or even Toni Payne? Or Ijeoma Okonkwo? Or Onyinyechi Zogg? But they sure have proven that they ALL have what it takes to belong in the Squad. The Austria camp will help establish if Adekite is a fit on the team or not. Worse case, it should help the Super Falcons have a more competitive substitute bench. Wishing all the ladies the very best. CoolJulian: |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by CoolJulian: 12:39am On Jul 16, 2021 |
AkinDS:But it seems the coach prefers the Ogbonna's to her. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AkinDS: 12:45am On Jul 16, 2021 |
For now... Considering Ogbonna has been in the mix for years, while Nicole is a newbie. If Nicole demonstrates during training and in matches she has what it takes, then Waldrum will have no other choice but to select the better player. Also, I believe Waldrum's top pick for the LB position might actually be Patricia George and not Ogbonna. CoolJulian: |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 12:47am On Jul 16, 2021 |
CoolJulian:It's an 8days Camp, The absence of Patricia George is just getting me angry, injury is a bastard, she would have hold on to the Left back Position by now... Let's allow the Ogbonna''s enjoy their chance for now at least them get back up |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 12:50am On Jul 16, 2021 |
AkinDS:Non of the Ogbonna''s are a match to Patricia George, she beats them hands down in all aspects.

| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by CoolJulian: 12:52am On Jul 16, 2021 |
Schemerkhiz:Talking about the new girl, I do not 'fancy' her at all. The girl plays for an obscure team, the level at which she plays is too low, I, therefore, do not expect anything from her. Payne, on the other hand, is head and shoulders above Okobi- that is simply the truth! Infact, if the coach has only the both of them to choose from, he'll readily choose Payne. |
