All the people employed to arrange the place, make flyers, cook food, serve. It provides employment. All the rental equiment - from tent, chairs, even nylon bags... people will be paid to make these available.

That said, my preference would be to build a top-notch memorial school in her honour, that's free or subsidized. There's more than enough money contributed to make this happen. Use half to build it, invest the other half in a trust fund to pay for ongoing costs...
