joshboo:I'm confused oh. Shaq had Kobe, Steph had Klay and KD, Bron had Wade, Kyrie and AD. But heaven forbid Giannis has a competent scorer on his side |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 10:41pm On Jul 17, 2021 |
birdman:So which ball did Middleton share that had him taking 13 more shots than everyone else. This thing wey una get for mind against Giannis una go soon confess am |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 10:41pm On Jul 17, 2021 |
A40:Baba! Once again, I have said this before and I go repeat am, whose block is better is not really the direction of my argument. Una dey get am wrong! If I am pressed I will make a case for Giannis. Here is what I am saying, the fact that we are having a conversation about that block in comparison to LeBum’s speaks to the level of respect Giannis is accorded. We are speaking of an All Time event in a game.. that speaks of respect. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 10:45pm On Jul 17, 2021 |
SmooshCHN:Him no too like Giannis like that sha. We don kana that one since the AD debate |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 10:47pm On Jul 17, 2021 |
Roland17:Naah that was a freak block regardless of who did it. The only argument I'm hearing for Lenomad's is that one is higher stakes. Finish Giannis is not getting those props for his reputation. That was an insane block whether it was done by Bam or Thanasis bro |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 11:06pm On Jul 17, 2021 |
joshboo:Baba, the media is filled with different segments. Doncic being called a Cancer does not remotely devalue his worth in the NBA. Kobe was described as similar, difficult to get along with but he won, guess what he is American. The GOAT was never described as your best friend type of team mate because of what he demanded from his team mates, not everyone can deal with that. Those are narratives that did not in any way, shape or form devalue the worth of the player is the face of the league. Are you telling me the mainstream media believes Trae is better than Doncic? No Na!!! How about Kyrie? Can we talk about Kyrie? Is he not also called a cancer in the locker room? Disruptive and controlling but guess what? He is American! So make una stop. D. Cousins, Isaiah Thomas nko? As for Booker, Baba, read wetin I talk when I brought up Booker in the conversation and you will realize you are over reacting because we are the same page about that. Oh well!! I see say you sef don see the say LeBum suppose dey work for car assembly considering how much assembly he has done to get his ring. Bringing up injuries in a finals again is what makes people question this narrative. Giannis himself would never bring up his injuries in the finals because he knows it is irrelevant at this time. Great players play through the worst injuries in the finals and never speak about it. We sit heard TB12 played with a torn MCL last season and no one knew! Now how true that is, is debatable but that is a conversation for another day. |

A40:All of una get Buhari inside una I don’t dislike Giannis, honestly I don’t. I just don’t like the babying I am seeing on TV and here. He is a superstar Na! |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 11:09pm On Jul 17, 2021 |
A40:Nope.. If to say na Thanasis/ Bam do am e for no get this kain hype! Hype to the level of being an All timer again LeBums? No Na. Again, I respect the block but that is not the onus of my argument. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 11:53pm On Jul 17, 2021 |
Roland17:The fact that you can say what has Giannis done and then use Kwahi and KD as examples shows that you are just holding on straws. Kwahi won a title with a team that has 3 future HOF, his second title was against a team that was missing 2 all-nba starters and their best player. KD has only won while playing for a team that has one 2 time MVP, a 2 time DPY, and a multi time all star all in their prime. Kawhi who won a finals MVP while averaging less than 15ppg, that's who you are using as an example. If you want to push your narrative at least use better examples As for his contract, If Giannis had refused to sign you would have called him weak for joining a super team, now he resigned you are calling him a greedy leach. His supermax contract was not negotiable, he signed the only contract that the Bucks could offer him. PS: Even LeBron has only won with at least one all-nba player and in Miami he had two. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 11:55pm On Jul 17, 2021 |
Roland17:Bams block on Tatum last year received the same amount of hype so don't bring that excuse. For some reason you don't like the guy at least own up to your prejudices. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 12:00am On Jul 18, 2021 |
Roland17:Who is babying Giannis?? On the contrary Giannis's greatness has become commonized. This man dropped 26-14-8 with 2 steals and 3 blocks and we are talking more about a guy who shot 15/33. He's one of the few players in the league that can drop 20 on a hyperextended knee and everybody goes back to sleep. Booker had a bad game 3 and nobody talked about it. Let Giannis airball a 3 or a free throw and we won't hear the end of it |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 12:03am On Jul 18, 2021 |
Roland17:Lmao. I've told you before and I'd say it again. The only thing Lenomad's block had on Giannis is that it was a higher leverage moment. Game 7! In terms of difficulty it was Giannis and it isn't close. Face to face block by default is harder than chase down block now imagine this one |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 12:05am On Jul 18, 2021 |
Khanben:I am going to ask you a simple question. Specifically as it relates to the Giannis block and based on what you have read from my posts, what is the direction of my argument as it relates to Giannis, that block and respect? Please continue to keep it civil and respectful.. well appreciated |
| Re: The NBA Begins by joshboo(m): 12:20am On Jul 18, 2021 |
A40:Bro asin just imagine that for a minute? The guy literally does it all for that team, as in literally oooo. I'm a lebron stan but you can't be claiming goat when you are constantly assembling the best players for your team, na some of the stars even dey decline. Abi na kd we wan talk? But as i said Agenda must Agend. If giannis was American bruv na different tune the media n the whole of yankee go dey sing. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by joshboo(m): 12:26am On Jul 18, 2021 |
Khanben: Roland just dey disguise. He many not in full terms hate giannis but its obvious he dislikes him. Same kahwi that's always load managing? As in some narratives dey shock me honestly. Some casuals would mention AD, same AD that had even a better roster than this bucks team and was constantly swept away like dirty water.. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by joshboo(m): 12:32am On Jul 18, 2021 |
A40:That's the only leverage for that block it was a game 7. But in terms of execution and difficulty level giannis is way better x100. The score was 101-99 at that point if they mafe that shot the pendulum coudda swung towards the suns but he executed well without a foul and preserved the game for the bucks. Defensive vets in the game who know what it means to be covering the p&r and still get up to block that shot called it the best block in finals history, but Roland thinks it's becos the media loves Giannis it's in the convo, like really?? |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 12:32am On Jul 18, 2021 |
joshboo:Paddy mi, Is Kyrie a cancer in the locker room? Is he also American? I need that answer like urgent 2K. I no hate Giannis ohhhhh |

joshboo:Now I am more than convinced that you have absolutely misconstrued the direction of my argument as it relates to the block and respect. Make I wait for @Khanben to answer my question before I address this one. I LOVE GIANNIS OH! ![]() |

| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 3:08am On Jul 18, 2021 |
If you're a Suns fan you're sick to death right now. Giannis and Middleton haven't even been special and you're behind |

Roland17:Trust me I saw it, I want mk you re-iterate am since you Don start dey disguise sey you like giannis thanasis or no other person is pulling that off kk. |

A40:They have no business trading baskets sef. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 3:43am On Jul 18, 2021 |
There's something about Bobby Portis mehn. Maybe it's the ginger or the crazy eyes but that guy is the ultimate X factor even without filling the stat sheet |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 3:47am On Jul 18, 2021 |
joshboo:You still neva get am . There is a reason I asked @Khanben to tell me what he understood from my post about the dunk because him sef don misconstrue everything. @Khanben made reference to Bam's block on Tatum last season and I wondering why such an important block did not get the hype if it was soo great? Giannis's block is going to be debated for ages as one of the biggest and best ever, if that isn't respect, I don't know what is. If Bam's block is so good but not enough to get the LeBum's comparison then where is the disrespect? Precious Achiuwa blocked KD during the friendly but somehow it did not get the hype..except for Nigerians of course..replace Achiuwa with Giannis, what do u think will happen to that play? In essence, another player could have had a similar block but not get the hype and LeBum's comparison as an all time great but Giannis executes it and because of the degree of respect he has in the league, it climbs up to be compared with Bum's block. I am not undervaluing that block, if anything, I lean towards Giannis's if pressed but the onus of the statement is hinged on the fact that Giannis's block gets a lot of value and respect |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 3:47am On Jul 18, 2021 |
And if Giannis starts knocking down 20 footers. Pack it up pack it in |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 3:47am On Jul 18, 2021 |
