Correct Lawyer!
I believe they will be opening a new case against FG on the extra-ordinary rendition before talking about any trial

What kind of a lawyer is this?

Is there any laid down way to rearrest some that jumped bail?
Igbos are such gullible people.
Little wonder NK was able to scam them

People just type without thinking. Calling him a foreigner makes the case even more difficult for him.
So, now, a foreigner can meddle with affairs of another state, to the point of influencing security issues and national arrest of a country in which he's no citizen?
kingsways:
NK has renounced Nigerian citizenship over and over in the past

You can't go overseas kidnap a foreigner and bring him to Nigeria. That's state sponsored terrorism and international law doesn't all that

Well as a person who follows international politics there are 3 things I know...a court in Kenya ought to have approved his repatriation as we see in many other cases., second, the British government may be handicapped if his lawyers approach the court in Britain who are often more powerful than government. And lastly if a judgement is given against Nigeria by a UK court, we may not be able to fight it just as the case of P&ID. The court in UK won't play politics and you can be sure the British government unlike Nigerian government can't over power the UK.

I think going for repatriation could have been busy. Malami always seems to give PMB bad advises for an attorney general, he doesn't mean well for the President at all.

He has renounced Nigeria online.
Secondly, he does not have a valid Nigerian passport to reinforce his Nigerianness.
But he does have a valid UK passport, and i am sure that in his recent correspondence with the UK authorities, since he was abducted, he must have made it clear he is British and seeks their assistance. You don't get any more official than that.

Otherwise prove to us he is still Nigerian, e.g a valid Nigerian passport owned by Kanu
He has a Nigerian State of Origin..

Why do you people sound like Nigeria is not a sovereign country and like Britain has a say in our proceedings?

That's how you people expected Trump to invade Nigeria and create Biafra.

Kanu is an insurgent who wanted to start a civil war, raising an illegal armed militia who went around killing Nigerian security personnel.

Keep waiting for Britain to send commandos to rescue him.

ESN was set up in 2020, but Kanu was charged to court in 2016, so why was he charged to court?
Also ESN only goes after Fulani terrorists whom they rightly kill for killing innocent easterners. That is self defence.
That Kanu admires UGM does not make him their commander, so that is not a crime

I am aware getting evidence illegally nullifies the evidence in developed countries but I don't how that plays out locally.
.NK is a Nigerian fugitive that was rearrested by Kenyan authority on Kenyan soil and handed over to Nigeria.
He claimed he didn't do anything wrong for kenyan authorities to arrest him but he forgot that Kenya and Nigeria are in Africa. And there has been a red alert for his rearrest.
Greed took him to Kenya.
Even Reno knew that he goofed big time

Any issue of illegality should be settled with Kenyan authorities.
Nigeria didn't bring him from Kenya illegally.
It's like a registered motor dealer stole my stolen vehicle from the thieves that stole it and handed it over to me. Did I do anything illegal?

Tell him, even you wey hate Kanu knows better than his sorry a.ss. You went to another country and broke their law by undermining their sovereignty, kidnapping someone on their soil. Worse of it, broke an international law and he thinks Nigeria will not pay for this as if Nigeria that cannot even produce toothpick can survive the Tsunami that will follow if the international community sits on their case

It is America you mentioned. We all know that they are the world power, if a country refuse to cooperate with them, they can mess the country up through non military means like hijacking the economy of that country through sanctions, stop the sale of weapons to the said country, stop aid, loans, and investment in that country, turn the people of that country against the government and mess everything up. In the case of Nigeria, what do we have? What can we do?
So hushpupi's case shouldn't even be mentioned here by someone as intelligent as u are.
Ordinary kenya, Nigeria govt is trying so hard to cover up; with all these cover ups, one should believe that this case is not under the carpet for Nigeria government
mynd44 is not intelligent, an intelligent person knows when to talk and when to keep silent but in the case of mynd44 tribalism has eaten deep to his bone hence the ignorance and bitterness he displays here.

Nnamdi Kanu is a British citizen. Your Draconian Buharist laws can't apply to him

Look at this one grin grin cheesy

You think the British government cares about kanu? Do you know how many of it's real citizens have been locked up in prison? Talkless of dual citizens like kanu that evidently incite violence. Go and read up on Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe in Iran. In fact, If kanu is not careful they'll even revoke his citizenship, they've done it before.. go read up on Shamima Begum.

Incase you don't know let me tell you, the UK government is very happy to get rid of people like kanu, they may pretend that they are upset but behind the scenes it's one less troublemaker to worry about.

He has a Nigerian birth certificate. Citizenship by birth is the strong of all citizenships. This is the only citizenship that can never be withdrawn. It doesn't matter the passport he was travelling with.

Secondly, crimes against national security are never tolerated by any nation. Even if he was an american by birth, the Nigerian govt would still arrest him and not will happen. The UK govt knows that's why they are powerless.

You're wrong bro. Just as the Federal laws supercedes any States Laws, same way the International Laws supercede any National Laws.
Extrajudicial rendition is a serious breach of international laws and no national interest counts in such cases.
Do you know that Adolf Eichmann was kidnapped from Argentina by the Israeli mossad, he was also tried and sentenced in Israel even though he was a German citizen, the same has happened to an Israeli nuclear activist who exposed Israel's nuclear status he was kidnapped and tried in Israel and sentenced to life and only gained hid freedom at the turn if the century. Israel has done this not once but twice and guess what, nothing happened. So stop talking about international laws, no one gives a hoot about it.

International law supercedes your sovereignty as a country?

Please stop joking because to be honest a fair nunber of countries don't actually give two effs about international law

True, most countries don't, it always end up in sanctions.

Nigeria will be sanction for Malami stupidity and it's the poor masses that will bear the brunt.

Why kidnap and torture him, leaving too many evidence on your trail... Very stupid.

Kanu is also very Nigerian which means the British government can't do much about it

All your arguments are plausible but Nigeria is on the edge of losing it. The new evidence stuff, national security argument and all that though correct will only work if Britain doesn't take action. If they do Nigeria will surrender the man.

The case has gained international coverage and all eyes are watching Britain. They will not find it easy looking away like they would like to.

All of you arguing that it has happened before with the Nazi German tried by Israel. That was only possible because Germany looked away. If they pushed for their citizen Israel can never try and condemn the man. Never.

You still don’t get it. You are stuck deep in your Nigerian mindset where known terrorists are forgiven and redeployed to mainstream society, but activists for political reforms who were ignored and they turned to secessionist acts, are branded terrorists and hunted from Ibadan Nairobi. Enjoy your primitive state.
