No. Let them try it with danfo drivers.
Of course, they definitely make more than owners. Provided, they have remitted without stories. They move on
The greatest motivation is knowing there's a chance of making more than owner watching Dstv will you're carrying ashewo up and down inside lekki.

Check this out, you have 4 cars on the platform delivering 25k weekly that is 100k per week, as a business man you are not putting your home expenses on it. Per month you have 400k steady and you have up to par cars no weekly wahala.

So according to Dru he only run services and not major repair in 6 months that is 2.4milla. servicing and the minor repairs coat him 300k for the six months on all his cars that is a balance of 2.1milla left.

So as a business man he his making more profit.

Eskiss me sir... Please let's do the analysis end-to-end.

To have 4 corolla cars on the platforms , that's an investment of N10m Sir. So it means you invested 10m and you make 400k monthly.

Since it's easy to make that 120k weekly and partners want the lion share

The reasonable thing to do is to just retrieve your car and go hustle and net that 120k this time all to yourself Abi.

Its only in this ehailing business in which an employee (even if a free agent) will expect to earn more than his employer. So if you earn 60k, your employer who bought 100% of the means of production is too greedy to ask 66% to cover his cost of capital and make a little margin?

In my years of experience I have never seen where employee expects to earn more than his boss, very greedy folks here

I can only pray God will also make you an employer so you can be a very generous man.

Guy u don't know me, just be looking for ur 66% if u will see it. While at it, go and read up what Rentals and Leasing means, since all the definitions here, na ordinary drivers dey define am give u.

Honestly bro, am not suggesting anything, because its meaningless, i cant regulate or enforce it... Car owner has much much more to lose, in my opinion.. All the threat, danger and risk you face and complain about, i already face and embrace it while looking for that 2.5 million to buy the car, so its ur turn, embrace it!.. Do you know why most car owners take care of maintenance in most cases 100%? Because their eyes is on the investment, d 2.5m.. They want to protect it.. No driver can maintain a car d way the owner will do it, its his car after all. So why should i get peanut, and do 100% maintenance.. We are losing.
You're not losing, you knew how much you would be making weekly before investing 2.5m in the business. You're saying all this now because you saw few dashboards.
The thing is it's minority of drivers making the very high figures you saw and even if you are lucky to get one of them as your driver he still won't pay you above what a driver that is making normal money is paying. Why? Because he went out of his way so he can maximize the opportunity and make more money for himself, not to make more money for the car owner.
The shopping complexes you see everywhere, in the same complex someone is making 10 times the rent while someone is making just double, rent will not be increased because of someone that is making 10 times profit.
If it is easy to make 120k weekly, why not resign and start making 500k monthly driving lol

Bro why will I buy Corolla when civic or other cheap cars can do it. That is a Businessman Mindset.

People going for corolla at this stage are either ignorant or brainwashed into believing that is the only tool.

I drive my own car. And here's my current weekly earnings. I'll quote you again at the end of today

No police, no lastma, no mechanic, no repairs.

I only added a liter of engine oil cos I realized my oil was short just after 3000 miles from last service.

Look for another name to use for your analysis. I have broken all shackles.
My weekly earnings, We don't do dashboard we do bandles

Good evening pilots....

I'm here with a knowledge seeking question.

I'm based in Benin and I've been looking for a car to ride on e-hailing.

So last week I went to a office and was offered a car with certain criteria to meet.

About 60k deposit and 2 guarantors.

I'll balance 8k daily, 6days a week.

Car is strictly on rental.

I'll be paid 50k monthly.

Pilots in the house, is this a fair deal? Can I meet up in Benin?

My target in raising enough money to get a decent Nigerian used car in less than 5months.
Run away, as fast as you can. It's a bad deal

Honestly its insultive for owners to be paid 25k weekly with a car of 2m upward. I am Not surprised drivers here are Not commenting on this topic.

I am interested in sending a car with Öl and tire to Nigeria for uber , but seeing drivers making above 150k weekly then asking owners to accept 25k( 50 euro) weekly is repugnant.

Trust me some of these drivers are cursed and have an absolutely evil mind, they think they are clever,
Taking advantage of the gentleman's ignorance, one even said 15k, imagine

Very (insultive) You want to start war be that.. This is mostly a drivers forum... And a lot of this drivers are making money.. Some will even tell you 20k rental.....

And if you go against them they will come after you like vultures... Bottom line these guys are making money ........ Due to the raising cost of parts and importing cars etc ... I think 30k to 32k should be the ball park mark for rental

And to show how these are making money. I had a new driver weeks.. The first 3 days the car was down for repairs... And usually the driver only remit based on those days during down time...... And this driver still deliver is 25k with no issues ......

Trust me am in the business these guys are doing very well ......

Some of these drivers have demonic hearts, they personify evil, are greedy and selfish,
Kai!! How can they ask an ignorant gentleman to pay 25k at this time when prices of parts are so fucking expensive, Whallai some of these drivers will remain failures for life,
FIRST CLASS WICKEDNESS,
anything less then 30/35k is just NGO charity.
and they know it.

Its a fare price. Enjoy it bro.

Thought its good you update trip destination for security reasons.

Most importantly let the rider update from his end... Bolt can act funny some times... Rider can report trip and your account can be blocked permanently.

Got it.

Thanks for this. I am grateful

Oga the op asked question how much is recommended, since you have a standard amount drivers make daily then recommend something to him na.

So 25k is a sensible amount weekly in your opinion , Hmmmmmm....!!

When u ask a student to determine his pass mark, what do u expect. grin
Tokunbo corolla should be 35k sef, but I say 30k non negotiable. Owner does all repairs.
But owner of car is asking what is the amount that will be comfortable for a driver to pay, u may still see someone that will say 20k is what he can deliver
You have a point sha!! Its like asking a student what marks he wants,
One of the drivers might suggest 15k self

Sir, business is give and take.

Between owner and worker.

Dru understands this.

You just need to create a model and maximize ur profit from it.

Why do u think dru does only rental
Why do u think he prefers to do repairs by himself
Why do you think he moved to civic rather than the expensive corolla.

Dru has mastered his business model , so for the next foreseeable future as far as ehailing is concerned, dru will be in business as far as ehailing is in lagos Nigeria.

If u don't do give and take with driver, u fit know how far.

Even Felicity knows

You best argument to kicking against 40k ia that you have driven for 6 months. Bro, it holds no water here. I will provide you a basis for my own:

Eatimates:

Corrola 2006 toks: 2.5M
Minor repairs before deplyment: 75k
Total outlay: 2.6M

**Running expense and income

1. 1st year total rental at 25k : 1200k for 12months (because its toks assume near 100% uptime)

2. Servicing every 2 months using the cheapest engine oil, oil filter: 15k per servicing (90k per year)

3. Shock absorber (35k _50k), brake parts, clutch (15-30k), tyres (30k) (twice a year at the least for a well maintained car: total is 210k)

4. Papers & comp. insurance (5%): 175k

5. Miscellaneous: 50k

Net income to partner:1.2M - 100k -210k -175k -50k = 665k

From year 2, I can bet the partner will not see 665k as car maintainance will start shooting up and he will not achieve 100% uptime.

In essence even after 5 years at 25k he may not recover his capital talk less of profit, especially if a discount factor is applied to account for time value of money.

Then the problem is with the tool, not the driver. Why use a wrong tool and put unnecessary pressure on driver to overwork himself. Highest I will advise anyone to invest in uber business is 1.5m per car. It's just to move people from one place to another, luxury is just an option not a necessity
