Nothing concerns me with what the driver makes.

My own take is that with the current reality we live in, 25k will not make any car owner break even

Blackbishop, I understand the fact that Dru23 has a fleet. But what about those with just one Corolla?

100k a month and you spend a mandatory 10k plus to service. Let's not talk about if something major or minor goes bad. That's like taking 75k a month

So at what point will the person recoup his 2.5 million, and start enjoying sara money?

That someone has a fleet doesn't make any difference. If you calculate how much he makes weekly on all his cars then you must calculate how much he invested to get all the cars.
He has 6 cars so he's making 150k weekly, we forget that he bought those 6 cars for nothing less than 9m.

Mind you, yours inclusive, so maybe using yours as a yard stick remittance should be 8k weekly... Lol

As for me the only time I made 120k net was during the era of 3% after 20 trips on Uber... Even with this bolt daily bonus of 2k after 10 trips I'm still struggling to net 100k weekly. Now I'm being frank here... Net oh I said not gross... The highest I've done recently a day on bolt is 25/27k I supposed which took about 11-12hrs online for me... Now after that long hrs driving do you expect or think same person can still do same hrs the next day and the next day? When I no be robot.

Now, yesterday I didn't go out at all due to the traffic that dealt with me on Friday I got home drilled out, after 1am I entered house...was only able to do 3 trips on that very day Friday... Mind you Tuesdays are my resting days so I didn't work ... This is the reality many will not come out openly to say but as for me I'll always stand by the truth.

Look at the experience BAZ001 just shared... Would an owner prefer rent at 45k weekly and get hus car destroyed after a month or do 25k and let the driver work and have adequate rest and his car last longer? Which would one prefer?

30k to me for a single man is still now bad because you cant compare a single dude with a married man but 30k for a married man to me? Is a big No! Take it or leave it!

Lastly, anyone that wants to rent @60k, 35k per week or wants a deposit its up to that person after all no be help the person buy motor.
l see serious laziness in your own case and ego,
Irrelevancies like how you are greeted, what your passengers are doing , are they kissing or touching themselves in the back sit, matters and rubbish like that seems to bother you a lot which in my opinion is absolutely ridiculous,
Instead of concentrating on your job which is to take a passenger from point A to point B

He has the experience.
It is hardly possible to get a request from foreigners here and keep you waiting.

You are the strange lot. You were once here requesting for a driver to drive only at nights and still deliver 25k.
Anything wrong in asking. The option to say yes or no is yours to make.

FACT... FOR YOU TO CALL IT A FLEET ANYWHERE FROM 5 CARS UPWARD... YOU CAN RECOUP YOUR MONEY FASTER THAT WAY...

BUT 1 0R 2 CARS IT WILL TAKE LONGER TO RECOUP .
It's the same time it will take you to recoup, unless you're reinvesting the income in more cars

Is the 2.5m buying a new car? No.

Kia cerato, Toyota matrix, honda civics, honda CRV, I drive honda CRV currently...I bough it 800k spent less than 200k....the car don produce another honda CRV after 1.1 years ... I don't buy from abroad ...I buy here and spend 200k to put to standard...as long as the engine, gear is good...then you can bring to speed any other part without breaking the bank
Your head is there. They all insist on buying tokunbo cars on top kobo kobo fares.
If you search properly you will see good naija used cars with satisfactory abuse. In business, minimize costs maximize profit.

The aggregate salary of all her employee is more than what she earn....if you want to earn more diversify (the higher the number of car you have on the platform the higher your earning ).

Before she employed you went through interview and you both agreed on a fair remuneration...just like you did with the driver renting your car.....if you think you want more, then call your driver and renegotiate...it's simple and straightforward.

....I ask you again, what do you think is the fair weekly remittance ...
40k is a right rental amount

July 1 - 18

I've only changed linkages - 6k, oil top up - 1.5k.
One rider ran away with my 1,800. Bolt returned 900.

Bought air freshener 1600. That's all expenses till date.
No police, tout, lastma etc.

The much touted "repair costs" is grossly overrated.

Its only in this ehailing business in which an employee (even if a free agent) will expect to earn more than his employer. So if you earn 60k, your employer who bought 100% of the means of production is too greedy to ask 66% to cover his cost of capital and make a little margin?

In my years of experience I have never seen where employee expects to earn more than his boss, very greedy folks here

I can only pray God will also make you an employer so you can be a very generous man.
Oga employer, with a heavy heart I'm breaking it to you that you are not anybody's employer. If you rent a shop, is the shop owner your employer?
The person driving your car is not your driver, he's your business partner. If you request and coincidentally he's the one that comes to pick you, my brother you're paying for that trip and you may even chop 1 star join.
Please try and read more about rent, let and lease then you will understand that once you give out your property in exchange for money, you have no business with how much the person makes with your property. Your argument is like renting out a shop and telling the person he/she will be paying you 66% of his/her profit monthly because you are the one that spent millions building the shop.

Good morning guys, I have being a silent reader here.

I recently lost my job and things are relatively tough for me right now, I really want to go into Uber/Bolt business, I have a corrola and I really would love to deploy it. I will be relocating to lagos soon. The only problem is that I do not know much about lagos roads. I am good with driving direction apps though.

I want to ask, is driving app enough for me to do this business in a location I am new to?

Your candid advise please.

Sorry about your job loss.

You’re sure covered. There’re places like Lagos Island you’d just avoid for a start because of traffic offenses as they have many one-way.

You also tell riders if they wouldn’t mind to point you in the right direction.

So, what’re you still waiting for?

Bro why will I buy Corolla when civic or other cheap cars can do it. That is a Businessman Mindset.

People going for corolla at this stage are either ignorant or brainwashed into believing that is the only tool.

Very soon, after owners/landlords revolt finish, car sellers/dealers of Honda, Kia and Volvo go start their own... Lol
