Okinawans have been calling on the government for years to close that base because they see it as a flash point for U.S and China's war in the future and they don't want Okinawans to be caught in between when the war breaks out.

The US had no agreement with Ukraine for many reasons amongst which is Ukraine is not a working democracy and are not willing to join NATO. Though they may be an attractive suitor on the fringes of Russia but they are nothing like the west.

Taiwan is a different matter. They go way back with the US and have been strategic allies for decades.
The only way China is getting Taiwan is through negotiations which the US can accept and mediate in but will not force Taiwan to undertake.
China cannot take Taiwan by force of arms.
