The Nigerian Army said on Monday night that troops of 151 Task Force Battalion recently staged an ambush operation on an identified terrorists’ crossing point
along Banki Junction, Miyanti road to prevent movement of terrorists’ logistics and replenishment noting that it was part of a concerted effort to ensure terrorists are cleared within their area of
responsibility.

At the ambush site, the vigilant troops came in contact with the unsuspecting terrorists and neutralised three BHTs, while others escaped with gunshot wounds.

In a separate operation, troops of 151 Task Force Battalion (Bn) in 21 Special Brigade area of operational responsibility on 15 July 2021 arrested suspected members of Boko Haram Terrorists (BHTs) and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) who surrendered to troops along with their families, while
fleeing their enclaves, following the continuous bombardment of their hideouts by troops of the Battalion.

A statement by Brig Gen Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations said, “The escaping terrorists and their families were arrested at the outskirts of Aza and Bula Daloye villages in Bama Local Government Area of Borno state by troops of the Battalion on fighting patrol at Miyanti and Darajamel.

“The arrested suspects comprised eleven adult male terrorists, five adult females and twelve children.

“The troops also recovered 27 rounds of 7.62 mm (Special) ammunition, 3 AK 47 rifle magazines and a black fragmental Jacket from the suspects.

“They are currently undergoing preliminary
investigations.

“In a separate operation on 17 July, 2021, troops of 7 Division Garrison in conjunction with Civilian Joint Task Force; acting on credible intelligence tracked and
arrested Boko Haram informants and logistics suppliers, during a cordon and search operation in Lawanti and Gongolun Communities of Jere Local Government Area of Borno state.

“During preliminary investigations, the suspects confessed to have been working as informants for the terrorists, whom they provide with information on troops’ movements, locations, deployments, strength, the calibre of weapons and other activities.

“They also admitted to having supplied the terrorists with basic logistics for their daily survival, ranging from Petroleum Oil and Lubricant (POL), drugs, mosquito nets, kolanuts, recharge cards and foodstuff.

“The suspects also disclosed that they were remunerated by the terrorists with proceeds made from selling dismantled old motorcycle parts to dealers in order to fund their purchases.

“The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya has commended the proactiveness of the troops in the ongoing Clearance Operations.

“He charged them to maintain the tempo and ensure the terrorists are smoked out of their enclaves”.

Meanwhile, the Theatre Commander (TC) Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), Major General Christopher Musa has charged troops in the theatre of Operations to dominate their areas of responsibility against Boko Haram (BHT) and Islamic State West Africa Province terrorists (ISWAP) in order
to ensure total return of normalcy and peace to the northeast.

Maj Gen Musa gave the charge during his visit to troops of Sector 3 in an effort to appraise ongoing operational activities, as well as, to motivate troops of 68 Battalion and 5 Brigade deployed in the frontlines
at Mallan Fatori and Damasak respectively.

The visit was in continuation of his familiarization and operational tour of troops’ deployment at the frontlines in the North East theatre.

The TC, who was briefed on the operational engagements, logistics and challenges of the Battalion by the Commanding officer, Lt Col Victor Ashinze,
expressed appreciation to the troops for their selfless sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and insurgency.

He tasked them to be more resilient and steadfast in the conduct of their operations.

Gen Musa noted, that as border towns between Nigeria and Niger Republics, the locations are strategic and must therefore be dominated by the troops.

He assured the troops of the determination of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya to ensure all requisite logistics and support for the successful conduct of the ongoing counter insurgency war are provided.

The TC further advised the troops to remain focused, disciplined and conduct themselves professionally.

He also visited and commiserated with Wounded-in- Action troops, who are receiving medical attention.

The TC was accompanied on the visit by Commander Sector 3, Brigadier General Godwin Mutkut and other Principal Staff Officers from the Theatre Headquarters.

You and I know that this story is propaganda without pictures, when ESN Commander Ikonso and some of his fellow fighters who declared war on herdsmen in the South East was killed his body was displayed and the military celebrated, presenting the pictures from various angles. We even saw pictures of innocent people killed and AK-47 placed on their bodies.

But regarding the North we don't see realtime pictures, this is the 50th time this year that we have 'audiometrically' heard them saying that ISWAP/Boko Haram and bandits have been wiped out.
Last week even lost a General in Abaji area of Abuja and it was as if nothing happened as everywhere was calm, imagine if that General had been killed in SE or SS? By now several villages would have been burnt down and we would have seen pictures of very elderly women running with their walking sticks and their poor chicken or baby goat tied to their waists shocked

Also, in the South West we see pictures of citizens killed by customs at the he border areas regularly, but here in the North we don't even know if Customs exists because Buhari has declared everyone across the border as his Fulani cousins, which Customs officer can stop his cousins from smuggling anything into Nigeria?

Those Yorubas been murdered also have cousins across the borders in Benin republic and speak same language, they may not even know where the borderline drawn by Britain and France starts or ends, what is good for Bala is also good for Bulus.
There should be fairness, it may take years to undo the damage this unbridled nepotism by this "evil administration (Bishop Oyedepo)" has done to this country.

Attorney General Malami is now doing the job of civil service commission by employing people to every agency of government without recourse to federal Character commission and it seems he is above the law as no one dare question him. What a country!

Evidence? Oh, I thought so.

The NA needs to up her media strategies. If Boko Haram and ISWAP can post pictures of their exploits up north in order to give as much credibility to it as possible, I see no reason why the NA should not do it to theirs.

The difference in the two should be that the videos by NA should have the faces of the dead and gory scenes blurred out in order to significantly dampen the psychological effect on viewers and also to thwart any thing that Amnesty international may hold on to.

Another thing that may be done is that live videos/footages of air to surface demolition from NAF bomber pilots should be made available to media houses for dissemination to the public after proper vetting has been done. These footages need not show the faces of the dead, but it will show an aerial or panoramic view of the bombed area before and after the operation.

This is how those Western countries do it.

Anybody notice how they published this lie to coincide with the kidnapping of Sunday Igboho in Cotonou? Obviously to make it seem like the evil government is working on different fronts and not one sided. You’d be extremely foolish to believe the Nigeria soldier even cöck their guns when they face these Terrorists.

Soon they will parade Sunday Igboho before Arewa press like a common criminal and go behind the scene to rehabilitate and release captured Herdsmen and Boko Haram Terrorists.

I don’t want to believe that the people clapping for this government and cheering the deceits like these ones are Yorubas, but time shall tell.

Visit the thread about Igboho’s arrest and see how one government paid agent dominated the whole page with spams yet the mods moved it to frontpage.

Nigeria is heading to doom, I don’t think the world has the economic might to accommodate millions of refugee and asylum seekers, USA, UK, EU and the Commonwealth have to do something before it spirals out of their own control.

Beautiful.

Congrats to our troops. So much good news this fine Eid day.

More evidence for the terrorist sympathizers that claim Bandits and BH terrorists are not also being dealt with like Kanu, Igboho and their murderous supporters.

Since when did neutralise mean rebranding or is this a new style of wailing?

Grab a dictionary instead of babbling without making sense.
