Felicity001 name don enter YouTube already as a lazy driver netting 10-15k everyday .
I’m sure nobody will complain here, if we start seeing rentals 35/40k weekly.

Na from rust everywhere to low mileage to top 3 highest earners and then audio 2k show your dashboard to angry partners/car owners protest.

Be like say everywhere don calm now

Apologies Cheerfulgiver..I know you drive your own car, a matrix if i can remember.

Yes, i see all the hardwork you put in to achieve this feat. They have accuse you of different thing; saka, shared account etc.

The truth is, because you are open with what most driver have sworn an oath to protect, for reason 's' best known to them.

About 3 month ago, i assist to facilitate a small job for a guy on my street, he's into ehailing and when i told him the salary is just 100k, he rejected it!

I was shock, he finished nysc just last year. He sincerely told me that he makes more money on ehailing and he can only leave for atleast 150k.

Yes, i understand what IFHR was saying, something about CONTRACT, yes we signed a contract and i intend to honor it.

Drivers here should stop pegging rent at 25k as if it is cast in stone, it is worth more than that! You are making money, pay what is fair!
I'll never support 25k. 30k is fine, and driver must handle oil and filter change, brake pads, and linkages.

Any driver not making money right now with this daily surge and gives excuses is lazy. I recommend you retrieve your car.

I have nothing to hide. Sky can accommodate everyone. My accusers haven't done better. All they do is complain. I don't take them serious. You can never have a sane discussion with lazy people. They'll want to drive you to their level, telling you you work too hard.

Funny thing is, my earnings increased when I started teaching others privately. Teaching them how I do it didn't decrease my performance but increased it.

2003-2005 Honda civic
Toks c.1.5M
Very durable
Parts are very cheap comparatively
Engine/Transmission slightly above 100k
Not prone to theft/cannibalisation
Low entry price, you should be able to pay back within a year.

Good luck getting a good one at that price.

If you feel car owners are greedy roll up your sleeves and buy yourself a car. Drivers should try and meet partners half way.

This is the problem with most here, anyone that says otherwise doesn't own a car.

I must keep innovating and restrategizing. My dreams keep me awake at night. It was how I devised a means to beat Lagos traffic + make more. It's not rocket since. I simply maximize time. I know everywhere in Lagos, every market, every residential area and every industrial area.

I'm available to meet anytime. I want to attain greater heights.

Would like to know more about this. Will send you a PM in earnest.

Give or take, one should. Asking price and selling price are quite different. The asking price of my car was 2m and we beat it down to 1.7m. When I sold my civic my asking was 750 but I ended up selling for 530k.
Fact is everyone needs money, the seller too. Having cars sit at the lot for long periods is not profitable for them unless that business is just a side gig.

Another route, though less favourable is the Naija used, especially for this civic, because the parts are cheap you can practically do a complete revamp with 200-300k, baking inclusive. Complete hubs FRONT and REAR (bushings, Ball Joints, drums, discs, brake pads and shoes EVERYTHING) cost around 30k then. Compressor 15k, Steering pump 7k, Rack 12k etc

Important thing is do due diligence with a pre purchase inspection with an HONEST mechanic.

Hello team,

I have been a keen follower of this thread (lowkey) for sometime now. Please I need your advise.

I’m interested in ehailing but the major challenge has been getting a car or the money to buy a car. I tried getting HP but couldn’t get something reasonable so I decided to save up the cash and buy a car instead.

Before now my savings amount goal was 1.5m for a foreign used Honda Civic 07/08; I use to see this on JIji sometime last year.

Now I am ready and have been able to save this amount but I can’t find a foreign used of this car for 1.5m anymore and already settling for naija used.

Please advise on other alternative to a foreign used Honda Civic 07/08 or what to look out for in getting a Nigerian used vehicle.

Thank you

Good morning team,

I really appreciate your piece of advise as regards this. It helped!

So I finally got a few months used naija used Corolla 04.

This experience made me understand practically how difficult getting a manageable naija used vehicle is.

It’s either you see a car with clean body (most likely repainted), chilling AC but with a almost dead engine, a car with sound engine but with a rusted interior and underbody, or you see a car with everything almost perfect but car seem stolen following the countenance of the seller and seller being unable to provide the papers of the vehicle.

Just as advised, I contacted Blackbishop to assist check the cars I already chose. The truth is base on my experience with Blackbishop, he is a professional I would always recommend to anyone for auto issues and resolution enquiries. Baba’s customer service is great too.

After all inspection he recommended this Corolla. Car isn’t all perfect but it requires just minor repairs.

Thank you all.

How was your experience with the civic? I ask because it seems like the only person who has good things to say about civic is dru23.

If I recall, pearl1910 and jpworld said they used it for ehailing at some point and the experience was not good.

Boss....can you tell me your sector/industry, that your boss pocket 100million monthly (that's over a billion yearly) .

What gives you the impression of 120k, 80k weekly?.....did you consider fueling on the part of the drivers and other miscellaneous expense?

You need to read up the word Rent.....what do you think your boss will do if the owner of the premises come to her and say madam I heard you are making 100m per month...going forward my rent is now 60m monthly? ..it's either she agree or look else where for other options.

Try to read and understand my point....you have everyright to increase your rent, drivers have every right to accept or reject.. do you

And is it out of place for the landlord to ask for more? With regards to tax you pay according to company revenue. As staffs of an organization you all don't pay equal amounts.

Civic 03-05? Never used it, I personally don't like the car because of its size. I feel drivers will not like it either because it may affect rating. But with some pimping up, bigger rims and tyres, like the one I saw here last week. I have had a rethink, and am currently searching for one to buy. Car is as rugged if not more rugged than the Corolla, parts are cheaper too and fuel consumption is better.
The only disadvantages are second hand value and car size. With the good fuel consumption it should deliver 30k

It was great... That's why I recommend it to someone who's either just starting or on a budget and functionality is the primary factor to consider

Bro permit me to say your line of argument is laughable...

In all my explanation, I never opposed landlord or car owner asking for more, all I said is that it should be well documented and agreed by both parties .

Tax is affixed and that explains why different workers pay differently according to what they earn,

10 of 100,000 is 10,000

10 of 80000 is 8000

Tax percentage is affixed, regardless of what your earn .... Rent fee is affixed (depending on the contact signed), regardless of what the car renter earns.

Any question?
