As long as you cant find an answer just know those that voted against electronic transmission of results are against free and fair elections. They want an election where they can hire kids in the north to thumbprint specified candidates and manipulate ballot papers right before they are counted.

APC is a bunch of irresponsible people who should not be allowed near power beyond 2023. If we allow APC beyond 2023, honestly that party will sink Nigeria for lacking in capacity to handle issues dispassionately and responsibly. Who says that we can't have both manual and electronic transmission of the same result so that both can act as checks and balances on the other. That is how responsible legislators should think. The members of the National Assembly should create a middle way, allow INEC to do electronic transmission of result with a clause that they must also keep the Hard copy for viewing by all candidates at the collation centre. Any electronic transmission which does not have manual backup copy should be voided. This is how nations that want to grow think.

The fear of hacking is not reason enough to put a stop to electronic transmission of results that is far more beneficial in areas of transparency, accountability, security etc. than the outdated method of manual collation and transmission we have been grasping with.

Necessary measures can be out in place to prevent hacking.

The fear of hacking did not prevented us from issuing and using international passports, voters card, printing of money, bank accounts/applications, online payment platforms etc.

Even if the use of internet is necessary for collation and transmission of results and it is not possible in all polling units, the affected units can be noted and transmitted at the ward or local government level.

The pros of electronic transmission of results will far out weight the possible fears as against the use of manual mode of collation with it's associated risks.

These people should just shut up, hacking is not something that is easy. for example you cannot spend over 1 billion naira to secure systems, servers, applications and connectivity and a hacker who does not understand your system will now on the day of election know your public and private IP addresses, understand how to tunnel into your network, hack your servers and databases etc. come on give me a break, it obvious these guys don't have technical consultant that can enlighten them or they are just selfish, ignorant and arrogant.
