Barca didn't waste anytime to give Messi the number 10 after Ronaldinho.
They also gave the number 10 to riquelme immediately after Rivaldo. So?
same with Madrid and ronaldo's number 7.

Successful footballer with no major international trophy? Are we Nigerians that bad?
David Has won a total of 27 major honours.

no Nigerian player has won a/an half of that.

Paolo Maldini
Joan Cruyff
Oliver Khan
Michael Ballack
Roberto Baggio
Dennis Bergkamp (who recently got unveiled together with other 11 legends to the first phase of EPL hall of fame)
Luis Figo
David Beckham
Frank Lampard
Steven Gerrard
The list goes on, are the football wizards who never won an international trophy.

perhaps international honour might be insignificant after all, unless you disagree that the folks I listed above are not football legends.

Is Afcon even important in the scheme of things? HAHAHAHAHA.

you don’t know anything about football just keep shut. La liga have a rule of 1-25 jersey number for first team players, the other numbers are all occupied ... someone have to wear the number 4. Barca didn’t waste time to hand over the num10 to Messi when Ronaldinho left. Man U gave out their famous num7 worn by cantona and Beckham n cr7 to Valencia, depay , dmaria and co ..... what’s the obsession with Real Madrid please ?
No mind people wey know nothing about football. Tge number 11 wey Giggs wear for many years for Man U, no be one Januza dem carry the number give immediately he retired? There is actually nothing significant about these jerseys. Na people dey attach unnecessary significance. No be to wear jersey enter field play football? What the f**k is in a jersey number? No be 66 TAA dey wear for Liverpool?

He will have a very tough time with the loss of both Sergio and perhaps Varane. But I guess with the Bernabeau Project and Covid, Real Madrid is lean in the pocket these days to pay over the top for talent and 'Blue Origin' wages.

That is because of his consistency. The guy is a consummate pro. Hardly has bad games.

Does this even make sense?

If his mom had been someone else then he wouldn't be David Alaba.

From Nigeria, we've had talented footballers become conquerors.

His mom is Filipino and his dad Nigerian, yet they lived in Austria but got into the Bayern team in Germany at 16.

Perhaps it was corruption that made it impossible to stay in Austria.
No, that's not what they're saying. Look it up, Alaba wanted to play for Nigeria, and corruption in the NFF was the reason he didn't. Even though he was born in Austria, he could've represented Nigeria if we had a functioning system.
