Uber has invited me for a physical roundtable discussion on how to improve their app and driving experience on their platform. I already have my list of prayers for them which include

1. Display of rider's destination (riders believe we see it, but I tell them it's only on bolt)

2. Recruitment of more partners to reduce incidences of long pickups ( today I was around adekunle and got a trip from uba building)

3. Penalizing riders who request and fail to answer their calls. You can't slide arrived on Uber you need drive down to PU

4. Rider verification

5. Reduction of commission to 15 or 20% and regular promo for riders.

Pls, feel free to add yours so as to present it tommorow. Thanks
All your points are valid, but that number 5 I don't think uber will bow to that. They're just damm too stubborn as if they used it to do ritual for them when they wanted to start the business.
You can also ask them to return fare multipliers (I can't remember the name given to it back then) where different regions have different fare multipliers like 1.5x, 1.9x. The extra won't reflect on rider's fare, it's uber that will add it.
New drivers won't know about this

Bros I'm sorry to burst your bubble, they are inviting just to hear you out but not to consider your opinions because it doesn't matter to them.

I remember attending this same meeting sometimes last year and the issue of riders destination and drivers being able to cancel even without haven to drive down to PU was raised. Guest what they said? It's a company policy. Why then did you invite me for a round table meeting I asked. The young guy that anchoring the meeting was just looking and smiling sheepishly at everybody.

The most disappointing was that, you called for a roundtable meeting but you sent one little town cryer to come make announcement. What sort of nonsense is that?

Same reason was why I didn't border attending the bolt zoom meeting, though I know theirs will be more organized because their app already portrays it.

So what uber should do is go back to their blue print and adjust some of their business policies then come back and tell us what is new

You didn't embolden the full phrase. cheesy

Never ever going back to their rubbish, which means if the rubbish is removed, I might consider. Same way I'm considering Indriver. I want to demystify it.

CAVEAT ........This is not easy at all.. People that make. this type of money are well experienced drivers.......

CAVEAT.......People that make this type of money have a goal in mind .. They are not driving just because driving is fun........

So plz take caution.. Many are called and few are chosen ... This hustle is not for the faint of heart or lazy person... You will need to have a purpose or goal for u to work this hard...........

On point,
LMAO drivers still shocking the crap out of Uber/bolt by driving for 20hrs out of 24hrs everyday of the week without breaking down. (Are they Robots or human).
By arriving in ikeja to pick rider but driver is in lekki.
By chupping all the bonus everyday wether 60trips or 10trips, dey will clear it.
By driving cars without AC and driver is not blocked or reported.

Naija too much

Let me speak for Uber Nigeria which I know.

Uber initially had a program that paired drivers that needed cars with partners that needed drivers. Officially.

As a Partner, from your account u can manage your fleet, see all your driver's performance, the trips they took and their daily earnings.

Infact if u want to go the Fleet Manager route, all ur drivers' weekly payment enters your bank account as the partner. Then u and driver will do counter balance as the case may be.

All those functions and systems you are referring to are in place. So we can say without a doubt that Uber Nigeria is aware, designed and sanctions Rentals.

While I appreciate the information, that doesn't change the fact that Uber Nigeria was an ad hoc response to something that was never intended.

Bolt, the undisputable king of ehailing apps.

The moment you taste Bolt, you won't want to go back to any other app.

The grind this week has been easy peasy. No stress whatsoever. And the cheddar is rolling in.

They now control the market, I mean the audacity with which they set surge across mainland on Tuesday & Wednesday was epic.

Any trip na surge. Even riders were asking me. What's wrong, why is it so high? . I'm like today is Sallah now grin

Very on point... 1 of my driver said to me he only does bolt.... Young kid and doing very well ...........The market has finally regulated itself........

E - hailing has now favor drivers more than ever before......

Now for drivers that were able to work hard and save to buy a car . Are now reaping the rewards.......

I saw the potentials when Uber came to Naija and I dived in. I have been in the business in different roles since inception, and I say, any driver that takes this serious, and adds sense to it can grow financially in a very short time. I use to casually say "this business is clean blood money" grin

Won't lie boss, unless one is on top echelon, e hailing money is fast becoming money ritual, I don't care abt the insults from riders again. Netting some one salary in 3 days feels good, but sh*t can b apprehensive, no one can tell tomorrow, so I'll advice drivers, make d most of now and save! Save!! Save!!!
