I used to be a seminarian, studied philosophy and the theology of the Catholic church. I did make it into the Vatican Library. So it is the government building churches and mosques all over the place? The government tells its people to fast, pray and build churches and mosques instead of investing in science and technology. You do know the private sector is an invaluable contributor to the growth of any country.

But this does not negate the fact that the government is aware of how religion benefits it when it comes to controlling the masses and keeping them docile. Hence, public officers are even happy about how the masses are heavily reliant on religion and God to perform miracles in the country, hence they loot with impunity.

I realized the falsehood about religion not out of any challenge I faced but as a result of reading and educating myself. I live somewhere abroad, I am not in Nigeria. I have a good job and I live very comfortably.

And by the way, Islam is not something I would touch even with a long stick. The hypocrisy in Islam is worse than Christianity and Judaism combined. A religion that believes the woman is a property of the man.
