Thanks to Oyedepo, tens of thousands of family have a source of livelihood, with millions of people; relatives, children benefiting directly and indirectly from these paid pastors. Construction of these churches has provided direct and indirectly labour to millions of artisans, bricklayers, carpenters, architects, interior decorators etc. In the education sector, Oyedepo has put Nigeria in the limelight among the nations of the world thanks to his massive investment in education evident in Primary school, secondary school and tertiary institutions across Nigeria. Thousands of poor people have been touched, scholarship has been given and millions have been impacted as a result of his motivational, spiritually impacting messages, books, weekly and monthly books.

I am not a fan of Oyedepo, but truth be told, he has made a lot of positive impact on the economy of this country. In a sane country, this guy should be given a lot of political assistance in helping to build industries to at least create employments for not less than 10 million graduates. In my humble submission, if a man can singlehandedly impacted Nigeria this much, if given political backing like Dangote, he would help put Nigeria among developed nations in no distant future.

Thank you jare. They read the terms of contract and accepted plain and simple. Nigeria is the only place where people will have a job, the business takes a down turn, no sales, the place will be running down. In a month they sell less than their salary yet they will remain there waiting for salary from nowhere or from the employers blood while you generate no sale or business. Proper people will resign.
How will you as a pastor be sent to a location, salary, house rent etc will be given yet after 1 year only pastor remains in the church, no growth, only pastor and wife. Infact pastor even does not open the church premises on Sundays. He just collects salary.
The bishop even says adverage church building cost 15m, if it were about the money, which village congregation can contribute to build a 15m church?
I am not a church person, I do not even attend but in this case, one must be objective.
If you cannot be productive in oyedepos church, go and open yours or get work with government.

You are not a full time pastor and there is nothing like a full time pastor. Someone pays you 38 for a part time work or just be present and preach for 1 hour. There are other workers who aren't paid.
Every pastor is supposed to have a business or work doing, ask Paul. Even Oyedepo has a business. He writes and sells book.
There are somw pastors under Oyedepo who are not lazy and have made millions or even billions.
