Paccus:@Coquinoqui, another option would be to do it through someone you trust in Nigeria, maybe a family member or close friend. All they need to do is go to Alagbon and meet an officer there who would serve as a liaison. You don't need to be present to get it done however your fingerprint will be needed. The officer should know how to work through that. He might need you to print the form over there in Senegal and affix your fingerprints on them and then mail them over to your contact person in Lagos. |

Coquinoqui:I know the US Embassy in Nigerian don't require you to legalize it. I don't know about the Embassy in Senegal though. |

lakeside4ng:Should be addressed to USCIS. The address should be the same address where the initial petition was sent. And yes, every formal letter should have a signature and a date. Note also that they need very extensive documentary evidence that should be submitted along with the letter. |

LegitBachelor: Good evening bro. I would like to seek your advice on something delicate. I finished my secondary school 2005 but didn't sit for Waec or neco but later in 2010 i wrote neco exam in another school from a different state and about to collect the original certificate . The issue is in the form ds 160 I must fill in the details if I have attained any secondary education from start date to end date but I did not have any cert to prove that I completed my sec Education 2005 in case embassy they requested for it. So I don't know how to go about in filling this area, and besides do embassy request for school certificates? |

anduyo:US has been cool so far, thank you. AOS is moving crazingly fast now especially for folks that filed from june, with the way things are going it might take less than three months to get EAD. Prior to june noa1 for AOS was taking like 6-8 weeks to arrive but now noa1 takes just 4-5 days to come, mine took just four days and I’m already looking out for biometrics appointment, what stage are you now ? 1 Like |

@Coquinoqui, sorry for my late response. But I don't think the issue is any issue at all. Just have ready any form of evidence you can get....it does not have to be a certificate. It is even likely that you will not be asked for any proof of education however it is recommended to have all the documents as we don't always know what the CO will ask 2 Likes |

Good day guys, so I have a question. I read that one of the requirements for the interview at the consulate is proof of wedding plans, if we get my Fiance's Priest in his church over there at the US to write a letter concerning the wedding date is that enough proof? For those that have scaled through the interview, can you be so kind as to tell us how you went about this part. |
Re: USA Fiancee (K1) Visa Thread by Treasureprince1: 6:57pm On Aug 11, 2021 |
SmartJac:proof of wedding plan is not required, just go with the documents below and you’ll be fine: 1.DS 160 2. Medical ( You may not be interviewed if your medical is not ready) 3.Police report 4. Birth certificates- NPC attestation of birth ( Original and Copy) 5: Evidence of Relationships ( pictures, chat and call logs) 6:Affidavit of Support and other financial docs( 1040, W2/ IRS tax transcript) 7: International Passports 8: 2 passports photos (2*2) 2 Likes |

Hello pls I need ur help. If the petitioner for the K1 visa is a Nigerian American, petitioning for his fiancée in Nigeria whom he had seen on innumerable occasions when they were not "something" back home in Nigeria. But since they started dating, they have not met physically due to distance and it is over 2 years. Will the consulate waive that? They also do not have pictures together. But their families have a close-knit relationship. |

Thank you but I don't really understand what they mean by "If you have not met within two years, submit evidence that meeting in person would violate strict and long established customs of your fiance's foreign culture or social practice or would be an extreme hardship on the petitioner Does this mean that I have to provide evidence that the Yoruba traditional marriage rites and ceremony for instance would not affect our meeting in person/marriage in any way? If that's what it means, like I said earlier, the person is a Nigerian-American, and we are even from the same ethnic group and state. Do u have anything to say about this? |
