As the trial of the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu begins today, the officials of the Department of the State Services, DSS, have refused some lawyers, Journalists and fans entrance to the court room, where the hearing is taking place.

Kanu is being charged with treasonable felony. The IPOB leader was accused of inciting violence for his agitation for an independent Republic of Biafra.

However, reacting to today’s hearing, the Coordinator of Igbo Lawyers all over the world, alleged that he came from Aba, Abia state and was denied access to the court room.

Other lawyers who spoke with Vanguard, also condemned the inaccessibility of the courtroom and doubted if the hearing would be fair on Kanu.

We all know it can't be a fair trial. A criminal govt will never abide by the law.

And when a criminal is judge and jury, justice can never be done.

From buhari to the judges to the DSS they are all criminals so why are we expecting a fair trial? we all know how these will end

Even if Buhari wasn't invited for the UK summit ,he would invite himself as he doesn't like to be around in this kind of situation.

I know if they allow everyone the court room will be congested but untill everywhere is filled up as far as you are a Nigerian you have the right to be in that court room by law.

I swear, I remembered 2019 election, after voting, Buhari spend the rest of the day in his farm while election was ongoing.

At the end of the day both igboho and Sunday igboho will be lucky to have a minimum jail term of 2 years

But kanu case tie wrapper small, because he ordered his boys to kill policemen and burn police stations

Love how this regime continues to mask itself as a democracy and pretending to regard the rule of law when it has all the hallmarks of a despotic regime. History has told us that some of the worst dictators were 'civilians'. Buhari might as well revert to being a military dictator and declare himself president for life.

The Fulani cabal are the real judges in this case. They have already passed their judgement across. Lets see if they will be sensible to drop their made up charges and release MNK.

The letter from the "High Court" choosing the news agencies to go in to monitor proceedings and coincidentally those critical of government didn't make the cut. What does that suggest? Someone somewhere is passing orders to them, and we will know the order they gave about MNK when this is all over.
