Hmmm, submitted my study visa application since on the 5th of March. Sent series of mail no response.
Inform your school about the delays. Your school will email them on your behalf if your programme is starting soon.

Thanks a lot, I’m more informed
samtol4:
Application is still open for 2022 , hence most universities have not issued an admission letter while few have already issued it for 2022.

Good day, fellow Nairalanders,

I wanted to fly from Johannesburg to Nigeria only to be told that I needed to pay about 500k for hotel reservation (for quarantine) and two COVID-19 tests even after I had made an initial Covid-19 test payment and generated a QR code. I was told this today by the staff members of Kenya Airways and they said they are working based on instructions from Nigerian Government.

Has anyone traveled recently (earlier this week) from South Africa to Nigeria. What was your experience?

Thank you.

2m above is okay.
2 million is rather low o especially if it is the bank statement of the sponsor

Who is inviting you matters a lot. Citizens with proof of income invitation letters have high priority. Permanent residence invitation with evidence of income makes sense also. Lastly, the holder of a work visa can also invite you. Above all, you must show proof that you are employed or engaged in meaningful activities in Nigeria.
Thank you for the response. I really appreciate.
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by pimper24: 11:20am On Jul 26, 2021
madejibo:
1. Admission letter (stating the course duration)
2. Letter of undertaking by the school
3. Medical aid
4. Bank statement
5. Proof of residence
6. Health certificate and radiology certificate
7. Police report
8. Yellow fever vaccination card
9. Itinerary (flight)

Now let me give this free tip, your bank statement should be in naira or if you have account in another country (not SA). Even if you are on a scholarship as long as the scholarship is from SA please try not to present it to the embassy here in Nigeria. The reason is like every other country, the evaluation officer wants to know how much you are taking to South Africa, they are not interested in the money already in South Africa. This is also applicable to people looking for other visas, your bank statement should be of Nigerian origin. Don't let your sponsor present a South African bank statement. Again, your account must have a good and comfortable balance.
Finally nothing is cast in stone, some are lucky but I don't believe in luck.
Ask yourself this question how much are you taking to South Africa?
Thanks once again man. Some folks that got refuses SA student visa recently said they its because of the Pandemic. That the schools are not running on campus session so the VOs were like "what are they going to do at school?".

I have to buy insurance and pay for Police report and these are expenses.
I don't know if I should go ahead and apply for the visa.

Thanks once again. I was offered GRA an mandated to resume by October or else forfeit same

I am therefore seeking an expedited process for my visa but hasn't had any lead so far.

Anyone that has a solution should be advice .
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hopcious: 12:20pm On Jul 27, 2021
It is better you make the normal application submission at VFS Lagos office as soon as possible. There is no certain process to expedite the visa presently (to the best of my knowledge). From the thread of happenings, the visa comes out in 2-3months of submission.

Good evening everyone,

Please I need guidance with saqa.

There is a portion stating ”Purpose for evaluation", what should I pick?

I have a job already in SA, just want to do the SAQA for migration on critical skill migration.

Anyone with good info should please advise.

If you have dollar card, it may be easier or you buy Rands and get the seller to make payment for you. Either method works.
